With the recent shift in Education to fit the "on-demand"
consumers/learners via personalised delivery in Lithan, faculty can no
longer be viewed in the traditional manner. Learning facilitator and
Mentors must be Uberised and be ready to take up a class on demand.
Programme Managers must be on lookout for quality faculty - learning
facilitators and mentors in other areas, outside of the traditional channels
to ensure organisation agility and delivery efficiency.

LET'S TAKE A TECHNO-MANAGEMENT
PROGRAMME AS AN EXAMPLE FOR
UNDERSTANDING
Though debatable, a good start is
to have a look at high performing
learners in the class. These learners
are typically self-motivated and
show good learning performance,
tracked by the LMS system. 
Here's a comparison of 5 learners in the
techno-management track. Suppose
the first figure we looked at bottom left
(book icon) is the number of sessions
that the learners should attend and the
current session is 4. 
Alan is falling behind, Ken is way ahead
and Leong is 2 sessions ahead.
Now, comparing with Manis & Cher,
Leong is spending more time to
understand the materials.
Selection Process:
1.  Ken spends an average of 9.4 hrs/session while
Leong spends 7.2hrs/session, Manis - 5.1hrs/session
and Cher - 5.7hrs/session. 
2. Manis and Cher seems to understand the content
better 
3. Now, let's look at the next criteria in the selection
process
Selection Process:
4.  In the order of  Ken, Leong, Manis and Cher, let's look at their
assessment scores - Cher scored the lowest while Ken is the highest 
5.  Scores are great way to have a good idea of individual's
understanding of the subject. In this case, Manis seems to score 2nd
in comparison to Ken
Selection Process:
6.  The last criteria is an intangible component where the instructor
or the programme manager makes a call on the learning attitude of
Manis as a learner and if he/she has the ability to pass on these skill
sets to future learners. 
In the end, Manis and Cher were invited to be new mentors upon
successful graduation of the course.

standard operating procedures applies
(including a formal interview)
All new faculty members will also be required to
undergo Lithan's onboard process and will start
their role as a Mentor/Tutor first before they can
be considered as Learning Facilitator
HOWEVER,
TRADITIONAL
CHANNELS TO CURATE
FACULTY MUST BE
MAINTAINED.
As newly curated faculty members start as mentor/tutor first, there is still
a need to find learning facilitator/instructor with industry experiences.

ensure mentor-to-mentee ratio is maintained

With the recent shift in Education to fit the "on-demand" consumers/learners via personalised delivery in Lithan, faculty can no longer be viewed in the traditional manner. Learning facilitator and Mentors must be Uberised and be ready to take up a class on demand. Programme Managers must be on lookout for quality faculty - learning facilitators and mentors in other areas, outside of the traditional channels to ensure organisation agility and delivery efficiency.

  • 11. SO HOW DO WE GET STARTED? LET'S TAKE A TECHNO-MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME AS AN EXAMPLE FOR UNDERSTANDING Though debatable, a good start is to have a look at high performing learners in the class. These learners are typically self-motivated and show good learning performance, tracked by the LMS system. 
  • 12. Here's a comparison of 5 learners in the techno-management track. Suppose the first figure we looked at bottom left (book icon) is the number of sessions that the learners should attend and the current session is 4.  Alan is falling behind, Ken is way ahead and Leong is 2 sessions ahead. Now, comparing with Manis & Cher, Leong is spending more time to understand the materials.
  • 13. Selection Process: 1.  Ken spends an average of 9.4 hrs/session while Leong spends 7.2hrs/session, Manis - 5.1hrs/session and Cher - 5.7hrs/session.  2. Manis and Cher seems to understand the content better  3. Now, let's look at the next criteria in the selection process

Selection Process: 4.  In the order of  Ken, Leong, Manis and Cher, let's look at their assessment scores - Cher scored the lowest while Ken is the highest  5.  Scores are great way to have a good idea of individual's understanding of the subject. In this case, Manis seems to score 2nd in comparison to Ken

Selection Process: 6.  The last criteria is an intangible component where the instructor or the programme manager makes a call on the learning attitude of Manis as a learner and if he/she has the ability to pass on these skill sets to future learners.  In the end, Manis and Cher were invited to be new mentors upon successful graduation of the course.

Once potential faculty candidate is identified, standard operating procedures applies (including a formal interview) All new faculty members will also be required to undergo Lithan's onboard process and will start their role as a Mentor/Tutor first before they can be considered as Learning Facilitator
  • 18. HOWEVER, TRADITIONAL CHANNELS TO CURATE FACULTY MUST BE MAINTAINED. As newly curated faculty members start as mentor/tutor first, there is still a need to find learning facilitator/instructor with industry experiences.
