HELLO! MY NAME IS
  SUNFLOWER AND OUR
TOPIC FOR TODAY IS ABOUT
  PHOTOSYNTHESIS.
Hey! friends
         …join us in
         sharing our
         ideas about
        photosynthesis
              ….

sure!!! Let’s go
What is the meaning of
  photosynthesis?

                          Photosynthesis is a
                         process by which plants
                          and certain organisms
                          use the energy of light
                            to convert carbon
                          dioxide and water into
                         simple sugar or glucose.

? ? ??
TO START WITH, THERE ARE
FOUR THINGS TO CONSIDER FOR
A PHOTOSYNTHESIS TO HAPPEN.
                                Hi! I am a leaf of a
                                 sunflower where
                              photosynthesis happens.
USING ENERGY FROM
ME, CELLS IN THE LEAVES TURN
                         SIMPLE MATERIALS INTO
                           ENERGY-RICH FOOD.

                                          Hmm. It’s
                                        sunny day it’s
                                         good for us.

1. SUN
2. WATER
3. CARBON DIOXIDE
4. CHLOROPHYLL
I ALSO NEED WATER, MY VEINS
                      CARRY WATER AND NUTRIENTS
                             FROM MY ROOTS.

1. SUN
2. WATER
3. CARBON DIOXIDE
4. CHLOPHYLL
Take a look!
                      …Here are some
                        sources of
                      carbon dioxide

1. SUN
2. WATER
3. CARBON DIOXIDE
4. CHLOROPHYLL
The last one is CHLOROPHYL, the green
                       pigment which helps absorb sunlight
                         and transform white energy into
                                 chemical energy.

This is the part of a
                        plant cell were
                       chemical reaction
                            happens.

1. SUN
2. WATER
3. CARBON DIOXIDE
4. CHLOROPHYLL
LET US REVIEW…
What are the four things
      needed for
   photosynthesis?

                 1. SUN
                                      3. CARBON
                                       DIOXIDE

                           2. WATER

                                         4. CHLOROPHYLL
