Reference: Joyce Foster
While I was President of Vanner Inc., Joyce Foster was the anchor to our Marketing
team working directly for the VP of Sales and Marketing. Joyce had little budget and
was our sole resource for Marketing. In a short period of time Joyce developed the
brand image (logo still currently being used by Vanner) and all designs for product
names (nomenclature) to keep brand imagery consistent across our product line.
Joyce placed Vanner on the net designing, writing, and developing its first website
in‐house (no budget was allocated for it at the time). Multiple pieces of collateral
(inconsistent in message, tone, and design) were scaled down, combined and
generated onto new design format consistent with the newly established Vanner
image and an annual catalog was created listing the entire product line, reducing the
need to send multiple brochures to trade shows and through direct mail. She
wrote/edited all copy for manuals, brochures, ads and press releases (increased
press coverage from a mere 10% to as high as 70%).
Additionally, Joyce managed all trade shows (selected appropriate shows for
attendance), developed new booths and signage. She developed all signage and
collateral materials for Vanner’s first retail outlet and gained exposure in multiple
trade journals for the inverter line designed for solar power as well as recreational
vehicles.
Joyce is a self actualized individual who needs little direction just room to move.
She is one of those employees who are always moving an organization forward. She
is high energy, creative, disciplined, organized, fast and thorough. She is a rare find
and a definite asset in any marketing communications role.
