I hereby confirm that Dr Jeff Hawkins was employed by Brighton Education from
January 2011 to September 2013. He served as a English Language Training Fellow
at the Institute of Teacher Education Batu Lintang, Kuching Sarawak, Malaysia.
I have known Dr Jeff in my capacity as his Project Director and he has undoubtedly
displayed a high level of professional and intellectual standing in all his academic
and non-academic dealings. His workshop and mentoring sessions; and seminar
paper presentations have been overwhelmingly positive and have created the much
needed impact among his colleagues and trainee teachers alike.
Dr Jeff has designed, organized and delivered a number of teaching and training
modules for both his colleagues and trainees. He has proved himself to be a
personable, empathetic and effective trainer; and clearly able to transmit his passion
and talent for research to his colleagues. His high quality resources were tailored to
reflect the needs of the Institute and the staff. Importantly, his ability to relate
successfully with both his colleagues and trainees deserve special mention.
A well composed and matured Training Fellow and friend was clearly seen as
amongst his desirable positive personal qualities. As his Project Director, I have
confidence and trust in his ability and capacity to undertake professional challenges
entrusted upon him.
