2. Rationale As a Primary school teacher my aim is to facilitate student learning by providing an enriching learning experience. Students within my classroom will have the opportunity to be involved in a classroom environment that offers learning the fundamentals such as Math and Literacy but also incorporates the element of fun with interactive physical education!

3. TeachingPDHPE in schools allowsstudents : To be involved in physical sports beneficial for health To be educated about the importance of personal health To be aware of the effects of engaging in unhealthy eating and lifestyles To identify the difference between healthy and unhealthy behaviors

4. Teaching PDHPE in school is important particularly for social interaction.

5. PDHPE It is NOT just sport! It focuses on the broad notion of health. Introducing concepts such as resilience into the classroom. It is a subject that also advocates for the holistic development of individuals to contribute to an overall improved quality of life. Board of Studies 2006
