This document provides instructions for creating various e-learning activities using different tools, including Hot Potatoes, Survey Monkey, Educaplay, Moodle, Google Forms, and Wikipedia. It describes the basic steps to generate cloze, matching, multiple choice, jumbled sentence, survey, word search, and wiki activities that can be integrated into an online course in Moodle.
3. Cloze Activity
• A JCloze activity is one that allows gaps in text
for learners to complete, whether in one word
or an entire sentence. A cloze procedure is a
test of reading comprehension and the
responses reveal mastery and understanding
of concepts.
• Steps: Star HotPotatoes and click Jcloze
• -Type title, introduce text, and select the gaps.
• - Save the activity.
7. Match Activity
• A JMatch activity produces a matching or
ordering exercise. A list of fixed items appears
on one side (these can be images or text),
with jumbled items on the other side.
• Steps: - Type the title.
• - Write the items into the left side.
• - On the other side, write the options for each
item. – Save the complete activity.
11. Jquiz Activity
• Begin creating the questions, answers, and feedback.
• a. Type the question in the Q(n) box (where "n" is
the question number).
• b. Type the acceptable answers (multiple choice) in
the A, B, C, and D boxes under the Answers column.
• c. If you wish to leave feedback, type the desired
feedback for each answer in the boxes in
the Feedback column.
• d. Check the box next to the multiple choice option
that is correct under the Settings column.

15. Jmix Activity – Jumbled sentence
• A JMix activity produces a jumbled word or
sentence exercise. Letters of a single word
may be jumbled, or the words of a sentence.
• Steps: Start HotPot – Type the title- Write the
sentence (one word under word vertically.
• - Save the activity.

• Go to surveymonkey.com
• Sign up for free, then Join In.
• Click on Start a Survey
• Write a Title for the survey.
• Start creating the survey.
