watch his family die

2. Background
He didn't have the best childhood which affected him when he got older. His father was very
abusive towards the family
1903- His father died in front of him. He had dropped out of high school, failed the exam to
academy of fine arts in vienna ,
1908- his mother had breast cancer, she ended up dying, the last 6 siblings only 2 made it
alive. He carried her death with him till the he died
1913- joined the military after actively avoiding it. He become a decorated soldier and was
well respected; furious at the treaty of Versailles.
1919- he thought for a few years and with thoughts of to improve the government after
watching his family die and suffer, and what his father left them with- joined what would
be the nazi party later and rose slowly rose to power
3. 1st
Avoiding the abuse from his father would
lead him to have a better childhood and not
watch his father beat his mother and
siblings
He would have lead a much happier life with
his mother without the abuse he received,
watching his mother get beat, not be
discouraged from art and drawing and he
wouldn't had to watch his father die in front of
him from bleeding in his lungs
Event Evidence
4. 2nd
If his mother didn’t die from breast cancer-
he was extremely close to his mother and
loved dearly and her death ruined him
He wouldn't have worried about getting
into the Academy of Fine arts; would have
achieved his dream, he wouldn’t had to
watch his mother die from the breast
cancer with the little money they already
had. He carried the death of his mother till
he killed himself.
Event Evidence
5. 3rd
If he didn’t join the army after being
rejected by Academy of Fine Arts and
became poor after moving to Vienna.
If he didn’t watch his mother die and made
it in the academy. he wouldn't have joined
the military due to being poor and become
a soldier and hate the Treaty of Versailles
which lead him to join what would be the
Nazi party (Germans Workers Party)
Event Evidence
6. How would it be different today?
The mass genocide of about 11 million people- the word, genocide, didn’t exist till they found out about
HItler’s Final Solution
This would change how the world may run socially
World war 2 wouldn't have so many death
We would be more scientifically more advanced than we are now because we wouldn’t lost a generation
who could have made a difference.
9. reflection
I chose this topic because it would be a major change in history and the impact it would have on the world
we know. The questions I have myself are what would the world be like, how would it have change, would
it even make a difference, would someone else have taken over?
The message I have is: we don't realize how much growing up, our childhood, impacts us when we are older
or how important the relationship between parents and child are.
What I do still need to know:
I need to know how close exactly was hitler and his mother. why didn't he did use a different the final
solution.
1. What do I know, and what do I still need to know?
2. How effectively did I communicate the message/story?
3. What other turns were possible? Have you considered other possibilities?
4. What were some of them?
5. How did this project change the way I think about history
