Capability management is an important area of research in information systems which focuses on managing ability and capacity in organizations. Business processes play a very important role in capability management, so it is vital to consider the notion of capability when managing business processes.
Thus, this paper proposes a new approach to Business Process Management, which is based on considering the notion of capability as a first-class element in the BPM lifecycle.
The new approach introduces future directions for the development of systems, techniques, methods and guidelines that empower organizations to manage their capabilities when managing their processes.

3. Challenge
Some question:
Are we capable of delivering 3000 pizzas in a day?
What if we employee a part time baker who can assist others?
Can our delivery support such amount?
What about the procurement?
…
Capability is
“the ability and capacity that enable an enterprise to achieve
a business goal in a certain context”
