Technical considerations:
(equipment, setting, props, costume, lighting)
Be realistic and creative, think about what you have access to and how
you could use it.
Props would include a text book, table, pencil/pen and an exercise book for the main cover, and pieces of
Paper for the photo of students with their results
Lighting will be natural, people included will be in sixth form attire. The setting will vary from being in a
Classroom to being outside to show a variety of the school.

10. Brief
• We were asked to make a magazine front
cover and contents page, we were using the
software we will use for our music magazine.
This software was Photoshop. We roughly
designed it on a piece of paper to get a ruff
idea on what to do.
11. Notes on the process
In took 3 medium shots and I choose the
one circles as I think it shows the persons
personality and it was more fun and less
serious than the others making it more
natural.

13. I have learnt …
From this I have learnt how to create a
effective front cover and contents page on
Photoshop, I have used research and
applied this and I have learnt what certain
audiences want from a school magazine. I
have learned how to use programs in a
more complex way and apply certain tools
on Photoshop to make a more complex
design.
14. Editing a image
On my images I just removed the
background mostly by using a magic
wand and quick selection tool, I also
added black and white effect to my
images by clicking “images”
“adjustments” then “black and white”
