1. The Eminem front cover is a basic front cover with not many colours and the house
style is red black and grey. It has a dominant image that covers most of the page and it
is a close up shot of Eminem. It is a vibe magazine and you can tell by this because a
part of the image covers a little bit of the title. It is a very good front cover because it
is well organised and the writing goes round the image and not over it, the writing
goes from large too small. At the top of the front cover the writing is large and at the
bottom is smaller writing. The larger writing is important and shows what is going to
be in the magazine, because there is an image of Eminem it shows that the magazine
is going to be mainly about him and on the front of the magazine it says ‘Eminem
Comes Clean’ and this means there is a story inside the magazine about Eminem and
this is the main story of the magazine and the other main story of the magazine is
‘SwaggaJack LIL Wayne Kayne West Jay-Z & T.I, these two stories have the biggest
writing and stand out the most because it is the most important part of the front cover
and what attracts the readers. The colour scheme is simple and there are only three
colours and it is mixed because each sub heading and different parts of text has a
different colour of rather red grey or black. Even the title is different shades of colours
which is black and red.

2. The Source magazine has an image of Chris Brown on the front cover. Also on this
front cover there is a large image that covers most of the page and it is a close up shot
of Chris Brown. On this front cover as well the text goes around the image. The
colour scheme of this front cover is red black and gold and the text fits in well with
the image because in the image Chris Brown has a pair of golden headphones round
his neck and also a black jacket. Also a part of the image covers a little bit of the title.
This front cover is simple and doesn’t have much writing on; on the left hand side of
the image has large text saying ‘Chris Brown F.A.M.E Monster’ and this is very large
bold text because it is the cover story and the main part of the magazine and it is large
black writing and the outline of it is gold. On the right hand side of the magazine is
smaller bold text and the text is in various colours mixed between red gold and black.
Above the title says ‘Lil Wayne: I’ve dominated the last few summers’ this is another
cover story that is in the magazine and is important because it is above the title.
Similarities
The similarities of these two front covers are that both have them have a close up shot
that covers most of the page of music artists (Eminem and Chris Brown). Both are
simple front covers and no text goes over the image. Also on both fronts covers a part
of the image covers a little bit of the title. They only have 3 colours on there colour
schemes, on the Eminem front cover the colour scheme is red grey and black and on
the Chris Brown front cover the colour scheme is gold red and black. Towards the top
of the front cover there is large and bold writing which is the cover story of the
magazine and main parts of the front cover.
