This document contains two summaries. The first is a motivational message about not crying during challenges and having faith and courage to overcome problems. The second discusses the importance of proper posture, both physically and metaphorically. It notes that one's posture reveals their true character and weaknesses, and encourages fixing one's posture to better face life's challenges and run well in this world.

Donotcry
Most days, we cry a lot when we face
challenges. Let’s stand strong, be
passionate and brave enough to act wisely
in the presence of hard times. Don’t cry,
be yourself and take every task that life
presents to you. Be the master of your
own destination and turn every tear into
happiness. Do not cry, be bold and trust
that your life will never be the same again.
Empower yourself with faith and courage.
Shake every tear, create the foundation of
happiness so that the world can be a better
place for all. Make no mistake, all the black
clouds surrounding your life shall come
to pass in the name of the Lord. All the
rain fall, thunder and lightening will vanish.
Give yourself time to explore and look
beyond your tears to find glory and be
Jubilant. Don’t cry, though at time you
stumble. Work according to the will of God
to triumph against all odds. Find solutions
for every problem you may encounter.
Don’t limit yourself, don’t cry you can
overcome all your problems. Many people
went through difficulties but were
confident to defeat the tears, that’s why
they are proud and joyful in life.

After my failed attempt at finishing my first
Comrades Marathon this year, I decided to
train properly next time around. So, I’ve
retained running coach NorrieWilliamson on
my quest to complete the marathon in 2018.
I met him last night at the hotel he’s staying
in. He mentioned that he saw me with both
my tog bag and my laptop bag slung over
my left shoulder. I know he had sized me up
and felt me wanting. I felt a pang of guilt
because I should know better. Walking in
like a lopsided, overloaded mule is not smart.
It puts everything out of alignment. I know
our kids think it’s cool to sling their book
bags over one shoulder so that they look
like a latter-day smooth James Dean and a
gunslinger out of a Louis L’Amour novel.
They don’t think it’s cool to strap their bag
on both shoulders like they should. Of
course, what’s not going to be cool is the
injuries they’ll pick up later in life because
they didn’t watch their posture. Ask me ...
everything that can creak, creaks and
everything that can crack, cracks because
of the bad habits I picked up long ago. Norrie
asks me to show him how I sit in front of my
computer. I’m thinking, “Are you serious?
I’m paying you by the hour and you want to
chit chat about how I sit in front of my
computer. Teach me how to run already.” Of
course, you’re smarter than me and already
know that the way I sit in front of my
computer, the way I carry my bags and the
way I deport myself, affects how I run. Just
by my posture, Norrie recognised me for what
I am ... a weak and ineffective runner. I’m not
irredeemable, of course, but there’s a lot of
work to be done for me to raise my game.
I’ve a notion that life’s the same. We reveal
our true selves by how we carry ourselves.
The people we come into contact with are all
“Coach Norrie’s”. They see through our
deceit”. By the same token, the way we
deport ourselves reveals our character. Our
posture reveals what (really) is. We think
we can fake our way through this short
journey we have on this planet. Yes, we
can for a little while. But, when the
pressure’s on, the masks we carry fall away
and our true selves are revealed. There’s
only one way for us to run properly in this
world and that’s to fix our posture. What
does it take to fix our posture? Not much,
really. We just have to change our notion
of our place in this world. We need to
understand that we’ve been born for a
purpose. There’s no junk in the creator’s
plan. We need to go inside and discover
the answers we’ve forgotten. We need to

facades. They
frown at our
fakery. They muse
over the masks we
wear. Sigmund
Freud said, “The
body oozes
live in awe and gratitude that we’ve been
given the privilege to play on this planet.
We need to bow down in front of the author
who wrote this story for us ... a story that
has been crafted to enchant us. We need to
understand that it’s not only about us but
about others too. We are, all brothers and
sisters. We’re in this together and we need
to set each other up for success.
The good and the bad that life dishes out to
us, reveals our character. It reveals our level
of humility, grace and gratitude. If you’re like
me, I’m sure you want to run a good race
before you are called back to Eden. Let’s both
you and I watch our posture and tweak it so
that we end up at the finish line in good
shape.
