GEHAZI – ELISHA’S SERVANT • Elisha’s disciple and personal assistant • Mentioned 3 times 2 Kings 4, 5 and 8 • Not discerning • “ You said do it this way and I have done it “ attitude • Missing dimension (spiritual capacity ) eg Joshua (Exo 33:11) , Samuel ( 1 Sam 2: 18 , 21 ; 3: 19-21) and Elisha ( 2 Kings 2)
ELISHA – THE MAN OF GOD • A man of God • A faithful man and a man of faith • An intimacy and connectedness to God
FAITHFULNESS EVERYONE, from the ordinary woman to the Prophet is called to FAITHFULNESS. God does not ask about our ability or our inability, but about our availability.
• Everyone in the LORD Jesus Christ has been blest. Eph 1 : 3 PRAISE BE TO THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS, WHO HAS BLESSED US IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS IN CHRIST. • 2 Peter 1: 2 HIS DIVINE POWER HAS GIVEN US EVERYTHING WE NEED FOR LIFE AND GODLINESS THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIM WHO CALLED US BY HIS OWN GLORY AND GOODNESS
FAITH Trusting and Knowing God For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith. Romans 1: 17
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, Eph 3: 30 We never test the resources of God until we attempt the impossible - F.B. Meyer
