Objectives.
Identify the Goals of the GEF, and where it came from (RIO)
Provide an Overview of the IW goals, specifically those that apply to LMEs (op8...)
List How much money has gone to the LMEs and for what (see Andy presentation)
Overview of the TDA/SAP process (just a quick two-three slides)
Present a timeline that shows each of the participating LME's for when the were approved (Block A or B), TDA approval, SAP approval; where are they presently on the TDA/SAP continuum; If they did a SAP, what were the commitments by the ministers at the beginning of the TDA and at the SAP?
Clarify the GEF rules for extending or ending funding. For example the BCLME is supposed to have their final funding cycle end in 2007-2012. Will it stop or be extended. What political and administrative issues are at play in this decision.
As you can see, it is bullet four that we really want to focus on. By understanding where each of our participant LMEs are at. How long did each step take...Can we shorten Andy's first 6 slides to quickly answer the basic questions in bullets 1-3? Most of these people know this information already, just background.Slide 7 is valuable and could be followed up with a timeline slide.
