WHAT IS AMERICAN WIND? American Wind is a Renewable
Energy Certificate for American-made, wind electricity.
WHAT IS A RENEWABLE ENERGY CERTIFICATE? A Renewable
Energy Certificate (REC) is a certificate issued through a government authorized tracking system that proves one
megawatt hour (MWh) of electricity was generated by a qualified renewable energy facility. The owner of the REC is the
legal owner of the renewable attributes of the energy produced. The revenue a renewable generator receives from REC
sales provides financial support to the facility and drives renewable energy development in the U.S.
WHAT DO I DO WITH MY REC? When you purchase American Wind, the REC you buy is “retired.” This means that you
are the ultimate owner or investor in the megawatt hour of wind electricity. You receive a printed certificate for your initial
REC purchase. We recommend that you frame it and hang it so people can see that you are part of the solution to
America’s energy challenges.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? American Wind is a subscription service that costs $19.50 per month. You may cancel at
any time without penalty or delay.
WHAT DO I GET WHEN I SUBSCRIBE TO AMERICAN WIND? When you buy American Wind you are paying for wind
electricity generated in the U.S.. Each month you are buying an American Wind certificate that proves you have bought
RECs generated by wind facilities. Think of this as a way to purchase cleaner electricity. It is an alternative to buying
your utility’s green power product. In addition to buying cleaner, American made electricity, you also receive a welcome
package following your first month’s purchase that includes a printed American Wind Certificate with your name on it, a
sticker and a voucher for an American Wind tee shirt.
HOW DOES CLEAN ELECTRICITY REACH A BUSINESS OR HOME? Actually, it doesn't. When renewable electricity is
delivered to the power grid it is mixed with conventional electricity. The grid is like a pool with lots of suppliers placing
power into the pool and millions of customers using from the “power pool”. On the grid there is no physical way to mark
an electron as clean or to indicate it is from a renewable source. This is one of the reasons that Renewable Energy
Certificates were created. By creating a Renewable Energy Certificate when renewable energy is first produced, and then
matching this Renewable Energy Certificate when it is consumed, we are able to distinguish between a clean, home
grown source and dirty, foreign fueled sources.
HOW WILL I BE CHARGED FOR AMERICAN WIND? Our charge will be made monthly on the day of the month you
originally subscribed. We do not send a bill in the mail. Information related to our charges and your account informa-
tion may be accessed online at your personal North American Power website. Our charge is completely separate from
your electric utility bill.
DOES THIS CHANGE WHO MY ELECTRICITY COMPANY IS? No. You continue to receive and pay for your electricity
with your current provider.

WHAT IS GREEN-E? Green-e is a stringent certification that ensures the American Wind Certificates you purchase
come from qualified renewable energy facilities. Green-e is administered by the non-profit Center for Resource Solu-
tions, and has provided independent oversight to renewable energy sales for 12 years. American Wind meets the
Green-e Energy National Standard. Green-e also will verify that the correct number of American Wind Certificates have
been purchased and retired on behalf of the customer. In this process Green-e will certify and verify the American
Wind product.
HOW DO I CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION TO AMERICAN WIND? Cancellations are only accepted via email to
Representative Support. Please send cancellation request to support@napower.com. If you have any questions, please

IF I SIGN UP FOR THE AMERICAN WIND WILL IT QUALIFY ME AS AN ACCEPTED CUSTOMER IN YOUR
COMPENSATION PLAN? Yes, it will count the same as if you signed up an electricity customer in our electricity markets
(NY, NJ, MD, CT, PA, IL, OH).
DOES AMERICAN WIND COUNT AS A GREEN CUSTOMER FOR DOUBLE COMMISSIONS ON MY DOWNLINE? Yes it
does. You will be qualified to receive double residual commissions on American Wind customers and 100% Green
Energy customers in your group. You are qualified to receive commissions based on your rank. Being an American Wind
customer does not make you eligible for Double Fast Start Bonuses.
WHAT IS THE COMMISSION PAID ON AMERICAN WIND? The residual commission paid on American Wind is the same
as an energy customer at the 1751 – 3499 KWH band, or 50 cents on level 1 – 5. The commission is 1 dollar on level 6 as
a Director. Refer to Compensation Plan for all other American Wind residual commissions. The ARC bonus paid on
American Wind is the same as an electricity customer. Depending on your rank, you will receive between $5 and $19.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE ADVANCE RESIDUAL COMMISSION (ARC) BONUSES ON AMERICAN WIND
SUBSCRIPTIONS IN MY GROUP? If you are qualified based on your rank and coding, you will receive ARC bonuses on
American Wind on the following Friday for the prior week’s purchases. The pay cycle runs from Saturday thru Friday.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE RESIDUAL COMMISSIONS ON AMERICAN WIND SUBSCRIPTIONS IN MY GROUP? Once
you are qualified to receive commissions based on your rank in the organization and your coding, you will receive
residual commissions on the 15th of the month. Residual commissions begin on the second month of an American
Wind subscription. No residual commissions are paid on the first month’s subscription. The ARC bonus applies to the
first month. For example, you sign up a new personal customer who makes his first American Wind purchase on June
10th. You will receive an ARC bonus on this purchase on the next Friday, June 17th, the customer’s next purchase
automatically occurs on July 10th. You will receive the residual commission of this purchase on August 15th.
I ORDERED ONE AMERICAN WIND CERTIFICATE BUT WANT TO INCREASE MY MONTHLY ORDER. HOW DO I DO
THAT? You can add to your order from your back office.
I HAVE SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO SUBSCRIBE TO AMERICAN WIND. HOW DO THEY DO IT? Send your customer
to your replicated personalized website and have them select Option A – Become a Customer. This will walk them
through the purchase process.
I SIGNED UP FOR AMERICAN WIND DURING THE PRE-LAUNCH. DO I HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR IT AGAIN NOW THAT
IT HAS BEEN LAUNCHED? No we will set you up automatically to continue your subscription to the American Wind
product so that your personal qualifications are not interrupted.
I SIGNED UP FOR AMERICAN WIND DURING THE PRE-LAUNCH. HOW DO I CANCEL THIS? Send us an email
