EDP (Portugal) has invested over two million euros to encourage energy transition
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
1
EDP Comercial will invest more than two million euros to develop new solutions that accelerate the energy transition in Portugal. This project will be
developed jointly with the national academic community and the consulting firm Accenture and will be focused on creating and developing solutions
and products for the user. Smart Energy LAB will be a center of innovation with the aim of developing technological solutions and design products
that facilitate and support customer needs in areas such as mobility, storage, flexibility management or community energy management. Products
developed in these areas will then be purchased by EDP Comercial or by other entities that wish to market them. This initiative will be developed in a
collaborative laboratory model (CoLAB), promoted by the Portuguese Government and which is already used in countries such as Germany and the
United Kingdom, bringing together academics and companies in a joint bid to develop innovative and market-oriented solutions. This innovation
laboratory will be part of EDP Comercial and Accenture; Instituto Superior Técnico; the Faculty of Sciences of Lisbon; the University of Coimbra;
the Institute of Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESCTEC); and the Institute of Systems and Computer Engineering,
Research and Development in Lisbon (INESC ID). In this way, they will work collaboratively in the creative process: EDP Comercial employees will
bring business experience and a genuine market testing platform for the developed products; researchers from Portuguese scientific development
entities will bring knowledge and advanced technological capabilities; and the consulting firm Accenture will provide the ability to accelerate, being
a leading global platform for digital transition. For the value of this project, a CoLAB title has been awarded by the Foundation for Science and
Technology €2.2 million in funding for the creation of new, highly skilled and innovation-oriented jobs. Together with EDP Comercial's initial
investment, the project will have an initial funding of 4.4 million euros. While promoting scientific employment, key to retaining talent in Portugal,
this is also a different way of attracting people with highly specialized knowledge in new technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data,
analytics, Internet Of Things HW or service design.

• Revenues: 57,124 million euros (55,246 million euros in the first nine months of 2018, +3.4%)
• EBITDA: 13,209 million euros (12,134 million euros in the first nine months of 2018, +8.9%)
• Ordinary EBITDA: 13,268 million euros (12,006 million euros in the first nine months of 2018,
+10.5%) net of extraordinary items in the two periods
• EBIT: 4,199 million euros (7,438 million euros in the first nine months of 2018, -43.5%)
• Group net income: 813 million euros (3,016 million euros in the first nine months of 2018,
-73.0%), mainly due to the impairment recognised on a number of coal-fired plants
• Group net ordinary income: 3,295 million euros (2,888 million euros in the first nine months of
2018, +14.1%) net of extraordinary items in the two periods
• Net financial debt: 46,505 million euros (41,089 million euros at the end of 2018, +13.2%)
• Approval of interim dividend for 2019 of 0.16 euros per share, in distribution as from January
22nd, 2020, an increase of 14.3% on the interim dividend distributed in January this year
• The Enel Board of Directors confirms the interim dividend policy for 2019, as provided for in the
2019-2021 Strategic Plan
• The total dividend for 2019 is expected to be the highest between 0.32 euros per share and 70% of
the Enel Group’s net ordinary income
Executive Commentary
Enel CEO and General Manager said: “The positive performance recorded in the first nine
months of 2019 demonstrates the solidity of Enel's integrated business model, which made it
possible to increase the Group's net ordinary income by 14% and ordinary EBITDA by 11%.
During the period, the Group also accelerated its investments to over 6 billion euros, 84% of
which dedicated to renewables and grids, fuelled by a strong cash generation that will continue
to support our medium and long-term growth ambitions. Furthermore, in these nine months the
Group expanded by 24% its investments in asset development, which are fully addressed for
2019 and 2020, offering full visibility on the achievement of our industrial objectives. Actions
to fully integrate sustainability into the Group's business strategy have been increasingly
effective. Our path towards decarbonisation continues, in which a key step was the commitment
undertaken by Enel last September to reduce direct greenhouse gas emissions per kWh by 70%
by 2030 compared with 2017 values. This goal has been certified by the Science Based Targets
initiative. In addition, the Group launched the first corporate bonds in the world linked to the
achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, first on the US market and
then in Europe. The issues raised about 4 billion euros and were four times oversubscribed,
underscoring market confidence in this innovative sustainable finance tool. In renewables, we
installed 600 MW in these nine months and we are expecting the entry into service of a further
2,400 MW by the end of the year. This allows us to confirm the target of 3 GW of new
renewable capacity installed by the end of 2019. We are also working to increase our annual
target of additional renewable capacity to 4 GW, starting in 2020. Looking ahead, operational
growth, the continuous effort going into efficiency enhancement and the simplification of the
corporate structure place us in the best position to exceed our full-year consolidated ordinary
EBITDA target, raising it to around 17.8 billion euros, and to generate a consolidated net
ordinary income of about 4.8 billion euros at the end of 2019. These actions are being pursued
within a strategic approach that views sustainability as a key factor in the creation of value for
the Group and its stakeholders.”

Enel (Italy) X signs agreement for acquisition of 55% of PayTipper and consolidates
strategy in payment services market
Enel X, as part of its strategy to develop and provide services in the financial sector,
has entered into an agreement to acquire – subject to the Bank of Italy's approval –
a 55% stake in PayTipper’s share capital, the Payment Institution that has an
agreement with a widespread network of sales outlets to offer its customers
financial services that facilitate people's daily lives. By purchasing a majority stake
in PayTipper, Enel X will be able to access a network of points of sale comprising
around 5,000 shops across Italy (of which around 3,000 are direct and 2,000 are
partner shops), offering a payment service that is complementary to that offered by
Enel X Financial Services via its digital platform. The objective is to reach private
individuals who continue to carry out transactions at participating businesses and
who together account for more than 60% of payments in Italy. Enel X intends to use
the two channels, digital and physical, in a complementary way to better address the
needs of its customers. Access to the physical channel and a more widespread
presence in Italy will, therefore, make it possible to expand how new customers are
acquired and to promote the products and services offered by Enel Group’s
companies. Enel X's acquisition of a controlling interest of 55% in PayTipper's
share capital is subject to the suspensive condition of Bank of Italy's authorisation,
as required by law.
Executive Commentary
“This agreement represents a further step forward in the growth strategy in the
payment services market and gives us a widespread presence throughout Italy
with access to PayTipper's network of shops," said Head of Enel X. "Our goal is
to offer people a complete range of financial solutions ranging from digital
payment to the possibility of choosing the points of sale closest to their homes.”

infrastructure and improve local reliability in the Hamilton area
Hydro One Networks Inc. (Hydro One), Ontario's largest electricity transmission
and distribution company, and Alectra Utilities announced they expect to
complete approximately $250 million of work in the Hamilton area by 2022 to
upgrade local electricity infrastructure and improve service reliability.
As part of these plans to strengthen the electricity grid in the Hamilton region,
investments are expected to include:
• installing quieter, more efficient transformers in four stations across Hamilton
to assist in reducing the number of outages;
• replacing protection and switching devices across the city to shorten outage
restoration times;
• refurbishing a power line originally installed in 1915 that is critical to
powering the Hamilton West Mountain area; and,
• trimming hazardous trees across more than 1,260 km of overhead powerlines
and replacing more than 270 poles.
• Hydro One will be working with Alectra Utilities to replace aging
infrastructure at Elgin transmission station.
Executive Commentary

productivity. That's why Hydro One is partnering with Alectra Utilities to
support a growing local economy in Hamilton, while improving power
reliability for its residents," said Chief Corporate Affairs and Customer Care
Officer. "Replacing aging infrastructure and modernizing equipment is part
of our plan to build a stronger, safer and more reliable electricity system for

The Red Eléctrica Group, through its international subsidiary Red Eléctrica Internacional; and Grupo Energía Bogotá, have reached an agreement to
jointly acquire, in equal shares, 100% of the shareholding of Argo Energía, a Brazilian company dedicated to the management and operation of high
voltage transmission networks and that currently has a workforce of more than 100 employees. Until now, 100% of Argo Energía's shareholding was
included in management funds owned and managed by Patria Investments and Temasek. With the acquisition of 50% of this company, the Red
Eléctrica Group commences its activity in Brazil and will co-manage three electricity concession contracts for a period of 30 years; said contracts
encompass and entail the management of a total 1,460 km of high voltage circuit (500 kV and 230 kV) and 11 substations. 80% of the assets
associated to the contracts were in operation in October this year. This transaction, which represents an investment for the Red Eléctrica group which
amounts of €382 million, is subject to compliance with the usual terms and conditions for this type of transaction, including, among others, the
authorisation of the Brazilian regulator ANEEL and Brazil’s Competition Authority, CADE. The revenues generated by Argo Energía amount to €190
million once the three concession contracts are fully operational. With this transaction, the Red Eléctrica Group meet one of its objectives regarding
international development as per that set out in their 2018-2022 Strategic Plan. This commitment began in July 2018 with the acquisition of assets in
Chile and Peru, and now continues with the Group's expansion in Brazil. In July 2018, the Group acquired 100% of the share capital of Centinela
Transmission in Chile, which was owned by Minera Centinela, and which represented a total investment of €103 million. Said transaction brought
with it the operation and management of transmission assets (including three 220 kV lines) in northern Chile. Furthermore, in December 2018, an
agreement was reached with Bow Power to acquire 100% of CCNCM, a company that had been awarded the concession contract for the management
and operation of the 220 kV Carhuaquero-Cajamarca Norte-Cáclic-Moyobamba electricity line, together with its associated substations, in the
northern zone of Peru; said transaction amounted to €179 million.

PJSC RusHydro announces intention to divest of its assets in Armenia to PJSC Hrazdan Power Company (HrazTES). JSC Hydroinvest,
a 100% subsidiary of PJSC RusHydro, entered into a share sale agreement with PJSC Hrazdan Energy Company, to divest JSC MEK, a
company operating Sevan-Hrazdan cascade of hydropower plants in Armenia. RusHydro owns 90% in JSC MEK. Earlier RusHydro’s
Board of Directors approved divestment of the Group’s shareholding in JSC MEK. The Public Services Regulatory Commission of the
Republic of Armenia has authorized the transaction as well. According to the agreement, the selling price of 527,085 ordinary shares is
determined at RUB 172.96 mn. Transfer of shares is conditional on HrazTES’s cancellation of RusHydro’s guarantees on liabilities of
JSC MEK before the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Asian Development Bank. Upon conclusion of the deal,
RusHydro’s consolidated debt will be reduced by USD 55 mn. The funds raised by JSC MEK under guarantee by RusHydro earlier
were allocated towards an investment plan aimed at modernization of the cascade’s hydropower facilities. As a result, installed capacity
of Yerevan HPP-1 increased by 10% and a new automated control system was put in place, enabling better operations control and
reducing water discharge by 4% during electricity power generation as well as improved management of irrigation discharge. The
company also carried out a number of activities aimed at increasing safety and uninterrupted operations of the cascade’s plants. Overall,
the investments for the period improved the system reliability of the facilities.

Sembcorp (Singapore) enters into Non-Binding Agreement to increase stake in
Sembcorp Energy India Limited to 100%
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
7
Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary Sembcorp Utilities has entered into a non-binding term sheet with its
local Indian partner, Gayatri Energy Ventures Pte Ltd (GEVPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Gayatri Projects Limited (GPL), to acquire the
remaining 5.95% stake in Sembcorp Energy India Limited (SEIL). Following the completion of the proposed acquisition, Sembcorp will become the
sole owner of SEIL. The purchase price for the shares is approximately INR 4,060 million (approximately S$77 million1) in cash, and is based on
discounted cash flows and relevant transaction multiples. There is also potential future earn-outs for GEVPL on the achievement of certain milestones
by SEIL. The acquisition will be funded through a mix of internal funds and borrowings. Sembcorp’s India energy arm, SEIL, is a leading
independent power producer in the country focused on growing a clean energy portfolio. At present, SEIL has a well-balanced and diversified
portfolio of thermal and renewable energy assets of more than 4,300 MW. Since the beginning of the year, SEIL has commissioned 357 MW for the
Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) 2 and SECI 3 wind power projects in India, bringing total commissioned capacity for SECI wind power
projects to 607 MW out of 800 MW. This is the largest operational generating capacity among SECI wind auctions, reflecting the strength of SEIL’s
capabilities. The proposed acquisition will allow Sembcorp to have the flexibility as sole owner to evaluate and pursue a full range of growth
opportunities in the renewables segment, while at the same time seeking the right equity window to list its India business or to pursue other capital
recycling options. The proposed acquisition is expected to be completed by end of the year, subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions precedent,
including shareholders’ approval of GPL. Negotiations on the definitive agreements are currently ongoing and Sembcorp will make an appropriate
announcement when there are material developments on this matter.

SSE (UK) Publishes 2019/20 Half-Year Financial Results
• In September, SSE won contracts to build the UK’s largest offshore wind farm to-date, at
Doggerbank off the east coast of England. It will also build Scotland’s largest wind-farm,
Seagreen, off the coast of Fife. Due to be completed in the mid 2020s, together they will
support the UK in decarbonising its electricity generation of the future.
• In its Interim Results statement issued this morning, SSE said adjusting operating profit was
up 14% to £491.9m, excluding its SSE Energy Services and gas production assets which are
held for sale.
• Generally wet and windy weather since September has resulted in renewable output for the
year slightly ahead of plan with SSE Renewables’ operating profit at £149.9m.
• Its energy networks business, SSEN, which keeps the lights on in central southern England
and the north of Scotland, saw an 11% reduction in returns to £260.9m.
• In September SSE announced it was selling its retail business, SSE Energy Services to Ovo
Energy. Its profits are excluded from SSE’s overall numbers as the business is held for sale. It
made an adjusted operating loss of £7.4m. Gas and electricity customer accounts were at 5.6m
as of 30 September 2019, representing the slowest rate of net losses in recent years.
• At 30 September 2019, SSE Energy Services continues to be classified as held for sale and the
Group’s investment in Gas Production has also been classified as held for sale. Adjusted
operating losses of the discontinued operations for the six months are £22.7m; reported
operating losses are £511.8m (including £489.1m of impairment charges relating to SSE Energy
Services) and the adjusted loss per share of the discontinued operations is 1.6p.
Executive Commentary
SSE Chief Executive says the next Government should go faster and harder on offshore and
onshore wind in a bid to reach the UK’s Net Zero by 2050 targets. The most recent offshore
wind auctions achieved record low prices and more projects could be built quickly to help
decarbonise the UK’s power generation. The climate emergency needs action now and
offshore wind has proven itself to be one of the most cost effective ways this country can
decarbonise and get on the road to Net Zero. Coupled with lifting the moratorium on
onshore, the next Government could deliver at least another 10GW of clean, green energy,
before the end of its term – enough to power over seven million homes. SSE is committed
to investing in low carbon infrastructure and the next five years are critical if the UK is to
take climate action.”

American Water and Liberty Utilities anticipate the sale will close in the latter half of 2020. The
parties have agreed to a sale price of approximately $608 million in cash, subject to customary

"This was a very difficult decision for American Water, as we have had the privilege of
serving customers and communities in New York for more than 130 years,” said President
and CEO of American Water. “After a careful and comprehensive analysis, we believe it is
in the best interest of our customers in New York to sell to Liberty Utilities, which already

unnoticeable to our customers and that safe and reliable water service continues throughout

Ameren (USA) Illinois receives national recognition for service reliability
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
Ameren Illinois was recognized by PA Consulting as a recipient of the 2019 ReliabilityOne™ Most Improved Utility Award
during a special ceremony, Nov 20, in Austin, Texas. This award is presented to energy companies that have shown
sustained progress in their efforts to keep the power on. In selecting award winners, PA Consulting identified utilities that
have exhibited the highest sustained levels in reliability in both duration and frequency over the past five years. Since 2012,
Ameren Illinois has installed hundreds of miles of storm-resistant utility poles and power lines, along with advanced
technology that detects service disruptions and immediately re-routes power from alternative sources. In addition, more
than 1 million smart meters are providing customers with enhanced energy usage data and access to programs to help them
save on their energy bills. These investments have contributed to a 20 percent overall increase in reliability. All utilities
operating electric delivery networks in North America were eligible for consideration for the ReliabilityOne™ Most
Improved Utility Award. The selection of provisional recipients was based primarily on system reliability statistics that
measure the frequency and duration of customer outages. After provisional recipients were selected, each company
participated in an on-site certification process, which provided an independent review and confirmation of the policies,
processes and systems used to collect, analyze and report a company's reliability results.

Con Edison received two prestigious industry awards from PA Consulting at its national ReliabilityOne™ conference
held in Austin last night: the 2019 Outstanding Customer Reliability Experience Award, as well as the organization’s
Award for Outstanding Reliability in the Northeast Region. The Customer Reliability Experience Award is presented to
the recipient who has the best overall customer approach and ongoing strategy to seek innovative methods of involving
and engaging customers, seizing the opportunity to deliver a positive shift in conveying accurate, timely information; the
regional reliability awards are presented annually to utilities achieving outstanding reliability performance in delivering
the most reliable electric service to customers. The Customer Reliability Experience Award is presented based on steps
utilities take to engage customers by providing real-time access to information using a variety of channels,
communicating with customers based on their changing preferences during both blue-sky and major events. All large
utilities in North America are eligible for Outstanding Reliability Award consideration, with recognition for the seven
regional awards (Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Plains, Mountains, West and Southeast) based primarily on system
reliability statistics that measure frequency and duration of customer outages. After provisional recipients are selected,
each company undergoes an on-site certification process, providing an independent review and confirmation of the
policies, processes, and systems used to collect, analyze and report a company’s reliability results.

DTE’s (USA) waste-to-energy initiative wins American Biogas Council’s dairy
project of the year
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com

DTE Biomass Energy’s clean, sustainable dairy renewable natural gas project has been recognized for its innovative business
model. The Calumet Renewable Natural Gas Project, located across multiple Wisconsin dairy farms, began operations earlier
this year and encompasses Wisconsin’s first dairy waste-to-energy renewable natural gas (RNG) processing plants as well as an
interstate pipeline injection facility. DTE Biomass Energy is a non-utility business of DTE Energy. This project demonstrates
DTE’s commitment to both environmental stewardship and healthy economies. Converting dairy cow waste into clean,
sustainable RNG positively impacts local environments and communities. Manure left to decompose naturally on farmland
releases methane directly into the atmosphere. By capturing the gas instead, the farms reduce their overall greenhouse gas
footprint and are compensated for their waste biogas, all while displacing fossil-based gasoline or diesel fuel. Calumet
Renewable Natural Gas Project has been named the 2019 “Project of the Year” in the agriculture, dairy category by the
American Biogas Council (ABC). It was recognized “for the use of an innovative business model to manage dairy RNG
through a virtual pipeline.” The renewable natural gas dairy processing and injection site, located in Newton, Wisconsin,
processes raw biogas piped in from three nearby partner farms into RNG, and receives RNG trucked in from two other dairy
farm-based DTE facilities. From here, pipeline-quality renewable natural gas is injected directly into the interstate pipeline and
goes on to power compressed natural gas vehicles.

EDP won two 'Silver' trophies at the Best Event Awards gala held in Milan by being awarded in the Sustainable Innovation and
Technology Use categories with the brand activation project at summer festivals . Also on the same day, but in Lisbon, EDP saw the '
We Love Energy' Report and Accounts , developed by Havas, be distinguished at the European Excellence Awards in the Annual Report
& CSR Report category. With a clear and continuous focus on music and sport, EDP has increasingly established itself as “the official
energy of music” and “the official energy of sport”. It was from this strategy that, in 2019, was born the new positioning of the brand in
these sponsorship areas: Let's Go . This communication motto became a rallying invitation that led hundreds of people to the
brand-supported music festivals and sporting competitions. From this position, EDP presented at the NOS Alive festival the philosophy
and unprecedented structure that accompanied the brand in all music and sports events. For the first time at a national festival,
innovative trucks that dock together, creating a unique space for sharing and fun, were home to EDP and its visitors at summer
concerts. This space continues to provide memories for those looking for fun and differentiating experiences at EDP-sponsored events.
Sustainability is one of the company's priorities and, therefore, this structure was developed with an environmental concern, without the
need for additional structures to erect and dismantle before and after the festivals. Being self-sufficient in this sense, it allows to save
costs and reduce the environmental impact compared to the best known options used in these events. In order to allow the use of
renewable energy, another of EDP's pillars, photovoltaic films were placed outside, which allowed to supply energy to some equipment
during the events.

Iberdrola has become the first Spanish company to obtain the AENOR certificate for its Tax Compliance Management System in accordance
with the requirements established in the UNE 19602 standard. This certification, which is aligned with the Spanish standard and with
recommendations from the OECD, focuses on the establishment and supervision of fiscal policies and strategies, basic guidelines for their
management and decisions on matters of strategic importance as well as on the design of the Iberdrola Group fiscal management and control
system. AENOR CEO, handed over the certificate to Iberdrola Chairman, during an event held at the company's offices in Madrid.Galán has
indicated that “it is highly satisfying to be the first Spanish company to receive this certificate, which confirms Iberdrola's role as a benchmark
for corporate governance and good tax practices, maintaining a culture of responsible compliance and transparency in the field of tax
information”.For his part, García Meiro pointed out that Iberdrola has demonstrated an effective and positive commitment to the values shared
by society: "Our auditors verified its conscientious and rigorous work in numerous fields and I feel proud that our stamp gives all Iberdrola's
stakeholders confidence regarding its work".The Spanish UNE 19602 standard, which relates to Tax Compliant Management Systems, was
approved in February this year as a response to the increasing importance given to corporate social responsibility and takes into account that the
level of compliance in tax obligations is considered to be one of the main risks affecting all organisations. This standard defines a number of
requirements and recommendations for tax compliance. In this way it helps companies to implement a management system that facilitates the
identification, prevention and detection of fiscal risks, in order to avoid or mitigate complementary settlements, penalties or crimes against the
Public Treasury and, in the event that they occur, create control and mitigation mechanisms.

Contract wind: E.ON (Germany) and RWE complete renewable power
supply agreement
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
27
E.ON and RWE Renewables have announced a new 2.5-year agreement on purchasing the output of more than 20 British wind farms, supplying
sustainable power to the grid and supporting E.ON’s commitment to provide 100% renewable power for its UK customers. With this power
purchase agreement (PPA) E.ON buys around 3TWh of power annually from wind farms around Great Britain which are operated by RWE. It
covers a capacity of 892MW of onshore and offshore wind generation and includes a proportion of the London Array, currently the world’s
second largest offshore wind farm. Earlier this year E.ON announced it was providing all of its residential customers across Britain with an
electricity supply backed by 100% renewable sources – on all tariffs, as standard, and at no extra cost. The wind farms were originally built by
E.ON as part of the company’s £3.3bn investment in UK renewables over the last decade. Ownership transferred to RWE at the start of October
as part of the asset swap deal in which E.ON Group took over RWE’s stake in Innogy in return for E.ON’s major renewable energy activities,
amongst other things. RWE Renewables, the newest subsidiary of RWE has an installed capacity of more than 9GW. Added to this are further
assets with a combined capacity of 2.6GW under construction that will be completed in the near future. RWE Renewables is actively seeking
corporate PPAs for this capacity. Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) are widely regarded as one of the most viable methods for companies and
energy suppliers to secure long-term price certainty and meet challenging sustainability targets in a cost-effective way. E.ON’s announcement in
July, moving more than 3.3 million homes to an electricity supply matched by renewable sources including wind, biomass and solar, is the
largest of its type to date in the UK, significantly increasing the number of households in the country backed by 100% renewable electricity. The
electricity used by customers is matched with 100% renewable electricity sourced externally through such things as renewable electricity
guarantee of origin certificates from the likes of wind, biomass and solar sources. These certificates guarantee that the same amount of
renewable electricity was generated to the amount supplied.

Iberdrola (Spain) announces a partnership to accelerate digitization of secondary substations
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com

Iberdrola along with seven industry partners - Intel, Ariadna Grid, Circutor, Landis+Gyr, Merytronic, Nebbiolo Technologies, ZIV
Automation - announce collaboration on the definition and development of a Secondary Substation Platform (SSP) reference
architecture based on Intel technologies using virtualization for monitoring, control and edge analytics. Global utilities are required
to distribute power via secondary substations at the lowest cost to consumers and businesses. Secondary substations however are
often challenged by having to operate with multiple implementations of legacy equipment across multiple vendors. Some legacy
devices are digital while others can be electromechanical each with its own unique hardware and firmware. Addressing this
complexity combined with increasing penetration of distributed energy resources requires a whole new approach. The goal of the
SSP reference architecture is to accelerate the creation of a standards-based, open, interoperable, and secure architecture that
addresses both the technical and business challenges faced by utilities around the globe. Designed to enable lower CAPEX and
OPEX as well as faster time to market for utilities by digitalizing the secondary substations, the flexibility provided by
virtualization on a common platform also makes it easier to deploy new technologies at the edge to address the use cases as their
need emerges. The envisioned reference architecture is vital to increase visibility at the edge, making the grid data driven and
mitigating the challenges created by the increasing penetration of Distributed Energy Resources (DER). Targeting to intercept the
digitalization in the utility industry, Iberdrola will support the pilot program to validate hardware and end to end solution,
accelerating the digital transformation of the utility business.

general secretary of the COE, Isabel Fernández, senior vice-president of the COE, judo athlete and twice Olympic medallist (bronze at
Atlanta 1996 and gold at Sydney 2000) and Isabel García, president of the Commission for Women and Gender Equality of the COE,
president of the Royal Spanish Federation of Rescue and Lifesaving and vice-president of the COE. Within the framework of this
agreement, Iberdrola and the COE want to launch a Gender Equality programme in sport which will become a reference point for the rest of
Spanish society and will involve both technical training and empowerment and specific actions (round tables or conferences) to encourage
the visibility of women in sport. This initiative will also be presented to the Gender Equality Committee of the International Olympic
Committee (IOC) for it to set an example for the global Olympic movement. Likewise, Iberdola, an international pioneer for
sustainability[i], will become a partner in the COE's strategy in this regard, which will imply its active participation in presenting the
Annual Sustainability Report of the Committee itself, as well as its support for the initiatives it promotes together with the United Nations
Global Pact to implement the SDGs in the sports corporate sector and for female athletes acting as ambassadors for sustainability.

Iberdrola and IFEMA have decided to join together in their strategies to promote transport electrification, by signing an
agreement making the energy utility IFEMA's strategic partner in promoting sustainable mobility through a number of
different actions. The first initiative in this partnership has been to implement the first sustainable public car park in a
Spanish exhibition centre. The car park will be operational from tomorrow and will be made available to attendees at the
World Climate Summit (COP 25), which IFEMA is hosting from next week until 13 December. The strategic alliance
was signed this morning by Iberdrola Spain's CEO, Ángeles Santamaría, and IFEMA's Executive Committee president,
Clemente González Soler, who both visited the new green car park, called the 'Iberdrola electric charging car park',
where they carried out the first electric charging. The infrastructure deployed at IFEMA by Iberdrola allows the
simultaneous charging of 34 electric vehicles and is part of other initiatives that both companies will develop jointly,
such as organising and participating in activities to raise awareness and promote electric mobility. This is in line with its
strategy to promote the transition towards a more sustainable and competitive energy model and to move forward in the
decarbonisation of the economy.

RB partners with Veolia (France) to drive a circular plastics economy
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
38
Reckitt Benckiser (RB) and Veolia have announced their partnership to drive the shift to a circular plastics economy. The
partnership with Veolia is another step RB is taking to fulfil its pledge to make 100 percent of its plastic packaging recyclable and
to contain at least 25 percent recycled content by 2025. Veolia and RB started working together two years ago to work on
increasing the use of postconsumer recycled plastic in RB’s packaging. The first offering from the partnership is the new packaging
for Finish Quantum. The packaging now contains 30% recycled plastic and is proudly grey in colour because RB has decided not to
add masking pigments or additives to the packaging. The companies will continue their collaboration on designing for recyclability
and the maximization of post-consumer recycled content. To accelerate the circular plastics economy, a team of 20 experts from RB
and Veolia are also working to develop enhanced collection systems, driving behaviour change to aid consumer sorting habits and
improving recycling from households. Veolia group is the global leader in optimized resource management. With over 171,000
employees worldwide, the Group designs and provides water, waste and energy management solutions which contribute to the
sustainable development of communities and industries. Through its three complementary business activities, Veolia helps to
develop access to resources, preserve available resources, and to replenish them. In 2018, the Veolia group supplied 95 million
people with drinking water and 63 million people with wastewater service, produced nearly 56 million megawatt hours of energy
and converted 49 million metric tons of waste into new materials and energy.

  • 6. Lorem i Lore Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable EDP (Portugal) has invested over two million euros to encourage energy transition For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 1 EDP Comercial will invest more than two million euros to develop new solutions that accelerate the energy transition in Portugal. This project will be developed jointly with the national academic community and the consulting firm Accenture and will be focused on creating and developing solutions and products for the user. Smart Energy LAB will be a center of innovation with the aim of developing technological solutions and design products that facilitate and support customer needs in areas such as mobility, storage, flexibility management or community energy management. Products developed in these areas will then be purchased by EDP Comercial or by other entities that wish to market them. This initiative will be developed in a collaborative laboratory model (CoLAB), promoted by the Portuguese Government and which is already used in countries such as Germany and the United Kingdom, bringing together academics and companies in a joint bid to develop innovative and market-oriented solutions. This innovation laboratory will be part of EDP Comercial and Accenture; Instituto Superior Técnico; the Faculty of Sciences of Lisbon; the University of Coimbra; the Institute of Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESCTEC); and the Institute of Systems and Computer Engineering, Research and Development in Lisbon (INESC ID). In this way, they will work collaboratively in the creative process: EDP Comercial employees will bring business experience and a genuine market testing platform for the developed products; researchers from Portuguese scientific development entities will bring knowledge and advanced technological capabilities; and the consulting firm Accenture will provide the ability to accelerate, being a leading global platform for digital transition. For the value of this project, a CoLAB title has been awarded by the Foundation for Science and Technology €2.2 million in funding for the creation of new, highly skilled and innovation-oriented jobs. Together with EDP Comercial's initial investment, the project will have an initial funding of 4.4 million euros. While promoting scientific employment, key to retaining talent in Portugal, this is also a different way of attracting people with highly specialized knowledge in new technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, analytics, Internet Of Things HW or service design. • 7. Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Enel (Italy), net ordinary income up 14.1% in the first nine months of 2019, ordinary EBITDA target for the year revised upward to 17.8 billion euros • Revenues: 57,124 million euros (55,246 million euros in the first nine months of 2018, +3.4%) • EBITDA: 13,209 million euros (12,134 million euros in the first nine months of 2018, +8.9%) • Ordinary EBITDA: 13,268 million euros (12,006 million euros in the first nine months of 2018, +10.5%) net of extraordinary items in the two periods • EBIT: 4,199 million euros (7,438 million euros in the first nine months of 2018, -43.5%) • Group net income: 813 million euros (3,016 million euros in the first nine months of 2018, -73.0%), mainly due to the impairment recognised on a number of coal-fired plants • Group net ordinary income: 3,295 million euros (2,888 million euros in the first nine months of 2018, +14.1%) net of extraordinary items in the two periods • Net financial debt: 46,505 million euros (41,089 million euros at the end of 2018, +13.2%) • Approval of interim dividend for 2019 of 0.16 euros per share, in distribution as from January 22nd, 2020, an increase of 14.3% on the interim dividend distributed in January this year • The Enel Board of Directors confirms the interim dividend policy for 2019, as provided for in the 2019-2021 Strategic Plan • The total dividend for 2019 is expected to be the highest between 0.32 euros per share and 70% of the Enel Group’s net ordinary income Executive Commentary Enel CEO and General Manager said: “The positive performance recorded in the first nine months of 2019 demonstrates the solidity of Enel's integrated business model, which made it possible to increase the Group's net ordinary income by 14% and ordinary EBITDA by 11%. During the period, the Group also accelerated its investments to over 6 billion euros, 84% of which dedicated to renewables and grids, fuelled by a strong cash generation that will continue to support our medium and long-term growth ambitions. Furthermore, in these nine months the Group expanded by 24% its investments in asset development, which are fully addressed for 2019 and 2020, offering full visibility on the achievement of our industrial objectives. Actions to fully integrate sustainability into the Group's business strategy have been increasingly effective. Our path towards decarbonisation continues, in which a key step was the commitment undertaken by Enel last September to reduce direct greenhouse gas emissions per kWh by 70% by 2030 compared with 2017 values. This goal has been certified by the Science Based Targets initiative. In addition, the Group launched the first corporate bonds in the world linked to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, first on the US market and then in Europe. The issues raised about 4 billion euros and were four times oversubscribed, underscoring market confidence in this innovative sustainable finance tool. In renewables, we installed 600 MW in these nine months and we are expecting the entry into service of a further 2,400 MW by the end of the year. This allows us to confirm the target of 3 GW of new renewable capacity installed by the end of 2019. We are also working to increase our annual target of additional renewable capacity to 4 GW, starting in 2020. Looking ahead, operational growth, the continuous effort going into efficiency enhancement and the simplification of the corporate structure place us in the best position to exceed our full-year consolidated ordinary EBITDA target, raising it to around 17.8 billion euros, and to generate a consolidated net ordinary income of about 4.8 billion euros at the end of 2019. These actions are being pursued within a strategic approach that views sustainability as a key factor in the creation of value for the Group and its stakeholders.” For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com Description 2
  • 8. Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Enel (Italy) X signs agreement for acquisition of 55% of PayTipper and consolidates strategy in payment services market Enel X, as part of its strategy to develop and provide services in the financial sector, has entered into an agreement to acquire – subject to the Bank of Italy's approval – a 55% stake in PayTipper’s share capital, the Payment Institution that has an agreement with a widespread network of sales outlets to offer its customers financial services that facilitate people's daily lives. By purchasing a majority stake in PayTipper, Enel X will be able to access a network of points of sale comprising around 5,000 shops across Italy (of which around 3,000 are direct and 2,000 are partner shops), offering a payment service that is complementary to that offered by Enel X Financial Services via its digital platform. The objective is to reach private individuals who continue to carry out transactions at participating businesses and who together account for more than 60% of payments in Italy. Enel X intends to use the two channels, digital and physical, in a complementary way to better address the needs of its customers. Access to the physical channel and a more widespread presence in Italy will, therefore, make it possible to expand how new customers are acquired and to promote the products and services offered by Enel Group’s companies. Enel X's acquisition of a controlling interest of 55% in PayTipper's share capital is subject to the suspensive condition of Bank of Italy's authorisation, as required by law. Executive Commentary “This agreement represents a further step forward in the growth strategy in the payment services market and gives us a widespread presence throughout Italy with access to PayTipper's network of shops," said Head of Enel X. "Our goal is to offer people a complete range of financial solutions ranging from digital payment to the possibility of choosing the points of sale closest to their homes.” For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com Description 3

Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Hydro One (Canada) and Alectra announce major investments to strengthen electricity infrastructure and improve local reliability in the Hamilton area Hydro One Networks Inc. (Hydro One), Ontario's largest electricity transmission and distribution company, and Alectra Utilities announced they expect to complete approximately $250 million of work in the Hamilton area by 2022 to upgrade local electricity infrastructure and improve service reliability. As part of these plans to strengthen the electricity grid in the Hamilton region, investments are expected to include: • installing quieter, more efficient transformers in four stations across Hamilton to assist in reducing the number of outages; • replacing protection and switching devices across the city to shorten outage restoration times; • refurbishing a power line originally installed in 1915 that is critical to powering the Hamilton West Mountain area; and, • trimming hazardous trees across more than 1,260 km of overhead powerlines and replacing more than 270 poles. • Hydro One will be working with Alectra Utilities to replace aging infrastructure at Elgin transmission station. Executive Commentary "A loss of power grinds life to a halt, impacting businesses, families and productivity. • 10. Lorem i Lore Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Grupo Red Eléctrica (Spain) and Grupo Energía Bogotá jointly acquire Argo Energía to help boost the development of electricity networks in Brazil's electricity grid For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 5 The Red Eléctrica Group, through its international subsidiary Red Eléctrica Internacional; and Grupo Energía Bogotá, have reached an agreement to jointly acquire, in equal shares, 100% of the shareholding of Argo Energía, a Brazilian company dedicated to the management and operation of high voltage transmission networks and that currently has a workforce of more than 100 employees. Until now, 100% of Argo Energía's shareholding was included in management funds owned and managed by Patria Investments and Temasek. With the acquisition of 50% of this company, the Red Eléctrica Group commences its activity in Brazil and will co-manage three electricity concession contracts for a period of 30 years; said contracts encompass and entail the management of a total 1,460 km of high voltage circuit (500 kV and 230 kV) and 11 substations. 80% of the assets associated to the contracts were in operation in October this year. This transaction, which represents an investment for the Red Eléctrica group which amounts of €382 million, is subject to compliance with the usual terms and conditions for this type of transaction, including, among others, the authorisation of the Brazilian regulator ANEEL and Brazil’s Competition Authority, CADE. The revenues generated by Argo Energía amount to €190 million once the three concession contracts are fully operational. With this transaction, the Red Eléctrica Group meet one of its objectives regarding international development as per that set out in their 2018-2022 Strategic Plan. This commitment began in July 2018 with the acquisition of assets in Chile and Peru, and now continues with the Group's expansion in Brazil. In July 2018, the Group acquired 100% of the share capital of Centinela Transmission in Chile, which was owned by Minera Centinela, and which represented a total investment of €103 million. Said transaction brought with it the operation and management of transmission assets (including three 220 kV lines) in northern Chile. Furthermore, in December 2018, an agreement was reached with Bow Power to acquire 100% of CCNCM, a company that had been awarded the concession contract for the management and operation of the 220 kV Carhuaquero-Cajamarca Norte-Cáclic-Moyobamba electricity line, together with its associated substations, in the northern zone of Peru; said transaction amounted to €179 million. Following the completion of the proposed acquisition, Sembcorp will become the sole owner of SEIL. The purchase price for the shares is approximately INR 4,060 million (approximately S$77 million1) in cash, and is based on discounted cash flows and relevant transaction multiples. There is also potential future earn-outs for GEVPL on the achievement of certain milestones by SEIL. The acquisition will be funded through a mix of internal funds and borrowings. Sembcorp’s India energy arm, SEIL, is a leading independent power producer in the country focused on growing a clean energy portfolio. At present, SEIL has a well-balanced and diversified portfolio of thermal and renewable energy assets of more than 4,300 MW. Since the beginning of the year, SEIL has commissioned 357 MW for the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) 2 and SECI 3 wind power projects in India, bringing total commissioned capacity for SECI wind power projects to 607 MW out of 800 MW. This is the largest operational generating capacity among SECI wind auctions, reflecting the strength of SEIL’s capabilities. The proposed acquisition will allow Sembcorp to have the flexibility as sole owner to evaluate and pursue a full range of growth opportunities in the renewables segment, while at the same time seeking the right equity window to list its India business or to pursue other capital recycling options. The proposed acquisition is expected to be completed by end of the year, subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions precedent, including shareholders’ approval of GPL. Negotiations on the definitive agreements are currently ongoing and Sembcorp will make an appropriate announcement when there are material developments on this matter. Description
  • 13. Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable SSE (UK) Publishes 2019/20 Half-Year Financial Results • In September, SSE won contracts to build the UK’s largest offshore wind farm to-date, at Doggerbank off the east coast of England. It will also build Scotland’s largest wind-farm, Seagreen, off the coast of Fife. Due to be completed in the mid 2020s, together they will support the UK in decarbonising its electricity generation of the future. • In its Interim Results statement issued this morning, SSE said adjusting operating profit was up 14% to £491.9m, excluding its SSE Energy Services and gas production assets which are held for sale. • Generally wet and windy weather since September has resulted in renewable output for the year slightly ahead of plan with SSE Renewables’ operating profit at £149.9m. • Its energy networks business, SSEN, which keeps the lights on in central southern England and the north of Scotland, saw an 11% reduction in returns to £260.9m. • In September SSE announced it was selling its retail business, SSE Energy Services to Ovo Energy. Its profits are excluded from SSE’s overall numbers as the business is held for sale. It made an adjusted operating loss of £7.4m. Gas and electricity customer accounts were at 5.6m as of 30 September 2019, representing the slowest rate of net losses in recent years. • At 30 September 2019, SSE Energy Services continues to be classified as held for sale and the Group’s investment in Gas Production has also been classified as held for sale. Adjusted operating losses of the discontinued operations for the six months are £22.7m; reported operating losses are £511.8m (including £489.1m of impairment charges relating to SSE Energy Services) and the adjusted loss per share of the discontinued operations is 1.6p. Executive Commentary SSE Chief Executive says the next Government should go faster and harder on offshore and onshore wind in a bid to reach the UK’s Net Zero by 2050 targets. The most recent offshore wind auctions achieved record low prices and more projects could be built quickly to help decarbonise the UK’s power generation. The climate emergency needs action now and offshore wind has proven itself to be one of the most cost effective ways this country can decarbonise and get on the road to Net Zero. Coupled with lifting the moratorium on onshore, the next Government could deliver at least another 10GW of clean, green energy, before the end of its term – enough to power over seven million homes. SSE is committed to investing in low carbon infrastructure and the next five years are critical if the UK is to take climate action.” For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com Description 8

R & R Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable DTE’s (USA) waste-to-energy initiative wins American Biogas Council’s dairy project of the year For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 16 DTE Biomass Energy’s clean, sustainable dairy renewable natural gas project has been recognized for its innovative business model. The Calumet Renewable Natural Gas Project, located across multiple Wisconsin dairy farms, began operations earlier this year and encompasses Wisconsin’s first dairy waste-to-energy renewable natural gas (RNG) processing plants as well as an interstate pipeline injection facility. DTE Biomass Energy is a non-utility business of DTE Energy. This project demonstrates DTE’s commitment to both environmental stewardship and healthy economies. Converting dairy cow waste into clean, sustainable RNG positively impacts local environments and communities. Manure left to decompose naturally on farmland releases methane directly into the atmosphere. By capturing the gas instead, the farms reduce their overall greenhouse gas footprint and are compensated for their waste biogas, all while displacing fossil-based gasoline or diesel fuel. Calumet Renewable Natural Gas Project has been named the 2019 “Project of the Year” in the agriculture, dairy category by the American Biogas Council (ABC). It was recognized “for the use of an innovative business model to manage dairy RNG through a virtual pipeline.” The renewable natural gas dairy processing and injection site, located in Newton, Wisconsin, processes raw biogas piped in from three nearby partner farms into RNG, and receives RNG trucked in from two other dairy farm-based DTE facilities. From here, pipeline-quality renewable natural gas is injected directly into the interstate pipeline and goes on to power compressed natural gas vehicles. R&R Description

  • 35. Customer Success Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Contract wind: E.ON (Germany) and RWE complete renewable power supply agreement For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 27 E.ON and RWE Renewables have announced a new 2.5-year agreement on purchasing the output of more than 20 British wind farms, supplying sustainable power to the grid and supporting E.ON’s commitment to provide 100% renewable power for its UK customers. With this power purchase agreement (PPA) E.ON buys around 3TWh of power annually from wind farms around Great Britain which are operated by RWE. It covers a capacity of 892MW of onshore and offshore wind generation and includes a proportion of the London Array, currently the world’s second largest offshore wind farm. Earlier this year E.ON announced it was providing all of its residential customers across Britain with an electricity supply backed by 100% renewable sources – on all tariffs, as standard, and at no extra cost. The wind farms were originally built by E.ON as part of the company’s £3.3bn investment in UK renewables over the last decade. Ownership transferred to RWE at the start of October as part of the asset swap deal in which E.ON Group took over RWE’s stake in Innogy in return for E.ON’s major renewable energy activities, amongst other things. RWE Renewables, the newest subsidiary of RWE has an installed capacity of more than 9GW. Added to this are further assets with a combined capacity of 2.6GW under construction that will be completed in the near future. RWE Renewables is actively seeking corporate PPAs for this capacity. Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) are widely regarded as one of the most viable methods for companies and energy suppliers to secure long-term price certainty and meet challenging sustainability targets in a cost-effective way. E.ON’s announcement in July, moving more than 3.3 million homes to an electricity supply matched by renewable sources including wind, biomass and solar, is the largest of its type to date in the UK, significantly increasing the number of households in the country backed by 100% renewable electricity. The electricity used by customers is matched with 100% renewable electricity sourced externally through such things as renewable electricity guarantee of origin certificates from the likes of wind, biomass and solar sources. These certificates guarantee that the same amount of renewable electricity was generated to the amount supplied. Description

George Rizhinashvili, member of the Management Board, Deputy General Director of RusHydro, and Yuri Soloviev, First Deputy President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board, signed an agreement at the 11th Annual VTB Capital Investment Forum ‘Russia Calling’ that updates the terms of the forward agreement initially signed in March 2017. Earlier in October 2019, the Board of Directors approved the supplemental agreement to the forward contract. RusHydro and VTB Bank signed the agreement of intent in September 2019 at the Fifth Eastern Economic Forum. The supplemental agreement provides for lowering the forward rate by 50 bps (initially set at CBR key rate + 150 bps) and extension of the agreement for three years through 2025 allowing more time to seek a strategic investor and jointly work on increasing RusHydro’s share price. RusHydro and VTB Bank have been initially signed the forward contract in order to refinance RAO ES East subgroup’s debt. The deal has helped raise funds for the strategically important power sector of the Far East and helped reduce RusHydro Group’s consolidated debt. The transaction has not only improved the financial position of the Group’s far-eastern subsidiaries but also paved the road for amendment of the company’s dividend policy. Description

  • 42. Customer Success Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Iberdrola (Spain) announces a partnership to accelerate digitization of secondary substations For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 33 Iberdrola along with seven industry partners - Intel, Ariadna Grid, Circutor, Landis+Gyr, Merytronic, Nebbiolo Technologies, ZIV Automation - announce collaboration on the definition and development of a Secondary Substation Platform (SSP) reference architecture based on Intel technologies using virtualization for monitoring, control and edge analytics. Global utilities are required to distribute power via secondary substations at the lowest cost to consumers and businesses. Secondary substations however are often challenged by having to operate with multiple implementations of legacy equipment across multiple vendors. Some legacy devices are digital while others can be electromechanical each with its own unique hardware and firmware. Addressing this complexity combined with increasing penetration of distributed energy resources requires a whole new approach. The goal of the SSP reference architecture is to accelerate the creation of a standards-based, open, interoperable, and secure architecture that addresses both the technical and business challenges faced by utilities around the globe. Designed to enable lower CAPEX and OPEX as well as faster time to market for utilities by digitalizing the secondary substations, the flexibility provided by virtualization on a common platform also makes it easier to deploy new technologies at the edge to address the use cases as their need emerges. The envisioned reference architecture is vital to increase visibility at the edge, making the grid data driven and mitigating the challenges created by the increasing penetration of Distributed Energy Resources (DER). Targeting to intercept the digitalization in the utility industry, Iberdrola will support the pilot program to validate hardware and end to end solution, accelerating the digital transformation of the utility business.
