Modelling and Simulation of Black Liquor Recovery Furnace | Duration
•Designed a computational fluid dynamic model of recovery furnace and simulated the air
supply inside the furnace using ANSYS Fluent. Performed detailed analysis and simulations
for better flow management inside the furnace.
•Data analysis and results extraction.

Encapsulation of Phase change material in Polymers (PE) | Duration
•Preparation of polyethylene from ethylene. Encapsulating the phase change material into
the polymer (PE) by agitating them at high speed of rotation (1000rpm) in the flask at
desired temperature.
•Performed the DSC and XRD analysis to confirm the encapsulation.

Production of Methyl Ethyl Ketone | Duration
•Design a process that is efficient, sustainable, and as cost effective as possible.
•Designed methyl ethyl ketone plant and simulated the process and plant operations using
ASPEN PLUS
•Evaluated the economic feasibility and budget of the plant and operation costs
•Created a Mass Balance, plant fabrication and operational budget
•Wrote detailed technical report, including: planning, design, simulation methods and
results and budget considerations and performed oral presentation to fellow students and
professor.

Study of coke making from coal chemical plant | Duration
•The prime objective of coke ovens is to produce good metallurgical coke, suitable for Blast

2. Furnace to produce hot metal out of iron ore. Coal is converted to coke by processing at
different units namely coal preparation plant, coke ovens, dry cooling plant, and coke
sorting plant. Applications of different unit operations are studied and got exposure of
practical experience.


Learned how the industry works, how crude is transported and stored and converted into
petrol and by products.
