• Ensure standards are monitored and

ADVENT OF MFTP, UHI etc ……..provides the finance
function with a more value added role
• Cost of service needs to be
understood by procedure
• Operate effectively in a
commissioning environment
• Healthy relationship between the
insurance sector and the health
system vital
• New skills required – coding,
billing, debtor management, cash
INFORMATION FLOWS WILL BE CRITICAL
• Must be integrated & KPI
driven
• Clarity on who is responsible
for information provision
• Real focus on patient safety
