2. • One of the locations we chose was Southhill Park,
this was the location for Arthur's house. We felt
this would be a good location to film as it is a
stately home, and makes a grand backdrop for our
trailer, and also shows the audience Arthur's status
as upper class. The building is also in keeping with
the genre and context of our trailer, this makes the
trailer seem more authentic and gives a
professional feel.
3. • The next location was the Italian courtyard
garden in South hill Park, we used this
location for the scenes with Marianne and
Arthur as we felt it gave a secluded and
romantic atmosphere.
4. • The next location is the field at the back of
my house, we chose this as it has a rural feel
and is also very convenient to get to, this
also saves time as well as being a good
location to film.
The field makes a
good backdrop
for some of the
scenes – as
shown here.
5. • The final location is this cottage, we chose this for
scene in which the character Marianne is standing
outside the house, because we felt it looked like a
authentic Georgian cottage, and fits in with the
genre of our film, it also shows the status of
Marianne as lower middle class, as the house is
much smaller in comparison with Southhill Park.
