• Sensex declined 20.62 points to 17,130.67 points and Nifty
plunged 13 points to 5,189 points due to near month end
futures & options contract expiry.
• Power, Realty, auto and PSUs were ended almost down by 1%
on BSE. Meanwhile, the Technology, FMCG and Metal were
gained marginally.
• The shares such as Coal India, Jindal Steel, TCS, ITC and
Reliance gained 1.24% to 2.79%.
• The top losers of the day are GAIL, Hero
Motocorp, Hindalco, Bajaj Auto and Tata power were
declined in the range 2.74% to 3.62%

2. • GAIL touched a 52 week low of Rs.323.10 on BSE.
• United Phosphorous declined by 6% after the CCI imposed
fine of Rs.252 cr on the company
• Idea cellular surged 4% in ahead of March quarter result
announcement
• JSW Steel has ramped up its steel manufacturing capacity
by 16% to 7.43 million tonne in FY12. However, due to
inadequate of raw materials, the company has missed its
targeting production of 8.75 million tonne. Stocks down
1.12%
• MRF stocks declined 1.77% to Rs.11,234 on profit booking.
The net profit of the company increased by 67.09% to
Rs.150.13 cr in March versus Rs.89.35 cr in the year ago
period.

3. • Mid cap and Small cap Indices were down by 0.3% and 0.4%
respectively on BSE.
• The overall market breadth was negative, with 1,863 shares
declined, 1,393 shares soared and 162 shares remained
unchanged.
• Crude futures declined 10 cents to $104.03 per barrel
during the last trade on the New York Mercantile Exchange
due to an increase in US crude inventory.
• Gold futures surged $5 to $1,648 an ounce during the last
trade in New York as weak dollar lured foreign investors to
expand the existing position.
