2. A review is a short description of a film, play, book
,etc. A good review should consist of:
1) An introduction in which you give all the
background information of the story.
2) A main body consisting of two paragraphs in
which all the main points of the plot are
presented in time sequence as well as comments
on acting, plot, character development, directing,
etc.
3) A conclusion in which the writer recommends or
does not recommend the film, book,
performance, etc, giving reasons.
3. Useful Language for Reviews

written/informative/facinating book , etc.

etc.
General comments: Example: it is rather
long/confusing/slow , etc.
Recommendations: Example: Dont miss it, it will
change the way you see / I wouldn’t recommend it
because…
4. Thing to take into acount when you
are writing a review
Setting in time and in place. The film take
place…/tells the story…/in set in…
Characters: actors or actresses.
Recommendation: you have to give your
opinion it could be good or bad.
