1. SUNDAY OF THE EPIPHANY OF THE LORD (8 -1-2017)
NOTICES FOR THE WEEK
1. January PPC meeting will held today/tomorrow, 8th January after the 9.30 mass.
2. Talent Dhamaka 16-17: The mostawaited finals of the singing competition (solo) will be held immediately after
this mass in the Church Hall. Kindly wait back to experience our talented singers. Tomorrow i.e Sunday 8th
January evening after the mass, the finals of fancy dress competition and singing duet will be held. Along with
this, we will also have the performances by the Make-a-Sound team, Bollywood Tamasha and a special
performance by our Talent Dhamaka organizing committee. Prize distribution of all the events will be held on
Sunday 8th January at the end of all the events. Please be there to cheer the finalists and winners. Today and
tomorrow evening mass will be held in the AV hall.
3. The sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated on coming Sunday 15th January at the 10.00 am mass. Kindly
note the change in mass timings 10 am and not 9.30 am. Bishop Percival Fernandez will confer the sacrament
on 22 of our young boys and girls. Requesting you to kindly keep them in your prayers.
4. The January Eco kids project will be a parish level drawing contest along with Christmas and New year
celebration on coming Sunday, 15th January in our church AV hall starting at 3.30 pm. The eco kids from 5th
and 6th will prepare a drawing on any topic on environment, and eco kids from Std 7th and above will prepare a
slogan, especially on ‘Save Aarey Colony’.Bestslogans and drawing may be used during the Environmentrally
scheduled for March 5th. Eco kids please bring your own drawing materials for coming Sunday contest. Drawing
papers will be provided.
5. The novenas in preparation for our parish feast will begin from the following Friday 20th January 2017. The feast
mass will be celebrated in the morning at 9 a.m. on Sunday 29th January 2017. On the same evening we will
have the Parish Fete starting at 5 p.m. During the nine days of the novena, we will have some fellowship
programmes in the basement or in the A V Hall, details of the same will be given next Sunday.
6. The January Bible Questwill be held on the following Sunday, 22nd January in the Gospel ofJohn chapters 1 to
10. PPC members please enlist the number of participants online with Fr Felix.
7. Families ofour parish are requested to clear your pending community fund contribution. Shortly you will receive
letters on your community fund status.
8. The next Made in Heaven programme for eligibles looking out for marriage proposals will be held on Sunday
February 19. For registration details, see the poster on the notice board or contact parish office. You can also
register your name with IJMB online or offline marriage bureau in the parish office.
9. Today/tomorrow, Sunday is the last date to drop your Advent ‘campaign against hunger and decease’
envelopes in the drop box or handover in the parish office.
10. The Bible Diary for 2017 will be available only till today/tomorrow, Sunday in our church stall. After that, if you
want to buy it, you will have to get it from St Paul’s as the remaining stock will be returned back to St Paul’s..
11. This month, January, there will be no SCC meetings. Instead, the core groups will meet to prepare the liturgy
for the parish feast novenas. Themes and other details will be informed later.
12. Holy Family Church is organizing an Inter – Parish Badminton tournament from 21st January 2017 onwards.
This is for youth and adults only. For further details and registration, please see the notice board or contact Fr.
Henry.
13. Welcome to our parish four Helpers of Mary novices who are preparing to become nuns. They will be in our
parish for the next 3 months for field experience. Wishing them all the best in their ministry. Pray for them so
that they will have a fruitful and enriching experience in our parish.
14. Priest/Sisters family visitation on coming Tuesday, 10th January will be SCC 8 and next Tuesday, 17th January
will be SCC 9.
15. The last Sunday New Year mass collections amounted to Rs.32389/- Thank you for your generosity.
