Through the season ofPentecost, the Reader’s proclamation “The Word of the Lord” has been changed to“Listen to what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.” The phrase “Listen to whatthe Spirit is saying to the Churches” comes from the Book of Revelation. It serves asa reminder and witness to the power of the Spirit at work in our life calling us to newawareness of God’s word, activity and salvation.See Janet Baron at coffee hour for tickets to the Bach Children’s ChorusConcert for the Foodbank – June 23rd at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 each and will beon sale today and through the week from the church office.The Alzheimer’s Society and St. Nicholas’ are hosting a special Men’s Cookingand Support Group. The group is a free, four week beginner’s cooking class andsupport group for male partners caring for someone with dementia. It runs eachTuesday in June from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants will have a hands on cookingexperience, prepare a simple easy to learn recipe, enjoy lunch together and takehome two heart healthy meals.Summer is approaching and even though our regular church school program will endon June 30th; we will be providing a church school program during the summermonths. As with previous years, instead of splitting into three classes, we will beoffering one class for all ages and we will be using the "Seasons of the Spirit"curriculum. If you are interested in teaching a class for a week or two, please feelfree to sign your name on the Church School sign-up sheet at the Manderley Doorentrance or speak to Angela McCullock (Church School Coordinator) during CoffeeHour.
