Purpose
The differential GPS shall comprise one unit as GPS reference station, and one rover
GPS handheld unit. The system shall be suitable for rapid acquisition of reasonably
accurate latitude, longitude and height above mean sea level data for the desired
purposes.
Specifications
The supplied system needs to be compatible with international GPS networks as well
as being fully compatible with The Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System
(IRNSS) once it is functional. The system supplied shall be complete with all usual
accessories needed for the purpose defined.
Accuracy Required of DGPS:
Operating within 1 km of the reference unit:
Horizontal accuracy of rover unit location: ±1 metre.
Vertical accuracy of rover unit location: ±2 cm.
