HAYAH was formed in 2008 as Green Crescent Insurance Company
with an aim to offer life protection and savings plans to individuals and
corporates and businesses in the UAE and the GCC, became AXA
Green Crescent in 2014, and then HAYAH in 2022 following AXA's exit
from the Middle East
HAYAH is the UAE’s digital insurance company, specialising in
life, medical and savings. We aim to provide truly affordable
solutions to the UAE using cutting edge technology.

Bank of the United Arab Emirates and listed on the Abu Dhabi
stock exchange.

We support over 300 companies and 150,000 employees in the
UAE with their insurance needs. HAYAH has a workforce of 30
employees, two offices and a wide range of customers.

• Many individuals are unable to access
basic investment products due to high
minimum investment amounts, complex
documentation, or lack of financial
knowledge.
• A significant portion of the population
remains financially excluded,
particularly among the lower-income
groups and the blue-collar
demographic. They often do not have a
simple, accessible means to save and
grow their wealth.
Problem Statement
UAE life insurance is primarily an intermediated market
with high commission products. Digital journeys are
predominantly in GI space. Average annual premium of
intermediated savings plans is AED 7,500, which proves
the market is not catering to the low-income segment.

While we have a robust roadmap for Simple Saver, we always welcome customer
feedback. We're exploring features like personalised investment recommendations,
AI-driven financial planning, and socially responsible investing options.
These new features are always thought of something only for the affluent-segment
but we are in the mission to democratise investments so we are looking for ways to
how we can make this available at this price point. This will be a nice problem to
solve. We have already opened global investing at this low investment amount, this
is not something you hear a lot about.
