BACKGROUND: Through AT&T Aspire, Zane State College is receiving $5,000 for their QuickStart Program. The
money will go toward the purchase of tablets for those enrolled as well as transportation to and from Zanesville High
School. QuickStart is a free, eight week course designed to help first generation, underserved high school students
overcome their initial reservations and concerns about enrolling in college.
The QuickStart Program curriculum provided to students includes:
 Career Exploration Program
 FAFSA Application
 Time Management Strategies
 Math Review
 Writing Review
 Computer Literacy
 Accuplacer Placement Testing
 First Year Academic Planning
The QuickStart Program offers students a risk-free college experience with no financial consequences. Students will
earn two free college credits upon successful completion and also have the opportunity to enroll in two Zane State
College courses.
Zane State College, established in 1969,offers an accredited education at its campuses in Zanesvilleand
Cambridge, Ohio.Zane State College’s over 40 two-year programs providean experience-based education for
modern careers.Students can also receivean affordablestarton the firsttwo years of their bachelor’s degree at
