What will happen when the schools will reopen post pandemic
1. What will happen when the schools will reopen
post pandemic ?
A big-big question to answer after the impact of Covid-
19. Some states have opened the schools for higher
grades. Slowly and slowly, we are coming out of Covid-
19 trauma but few states are still keeping an isolation
mode on.
Given the difficulty of situation across the globe, school
authority and the government bodies should call up for
a review meeting. It should be in the best interest of
the children. Water, foodand hygiene facilities form
an important part of school reopening measures.
Frequent handwashing should be made compulsory in
schools. Strict social distancing norms should be
followed in schools. Schools can't operate in 100%
capacity till there is no 100% effective vaccination for
covid-19.
Some children may feel anxious to return to school
while some may feel difficult to follow the social
distancing norms at school. They may not be ready to
use protective gears like masks and sanitisers etc in
schools.
Being a parent, it is hard to send your child to school
after re-opening. But we have to be calm and proactive
2. in our conversation with our children. We should
encourage them to understand the ground reality, thus
keeping in mind all the available safety measures.
As a parent, there may be a lot of questions that may
come to our mind about reopening of schools like:
Are schools really taking effective measures to
ensure the safety of their students ?
What if, a child is really sick, and if he or she may
get bullied on account of Covid symptoms. There
may be a possibility that he or she is negative but
the other students can tease him/her for this. Will
school take any measure againstthis?
Whether my child will follow all the protocols at
schools?
Will school authorities teach respiratory etiquettes
to the students basically from primary levels ?
Why can’t schools operate in shifts to reduce class-
size?
These are the basic questions for which every parent
may be looking for answers. As a parent, it is our duty
to give extra support academically to our child at
