Thriller
Semantic of Thrillers
• The common semantics of a
thriller movie will be to include
  certain prop, locations and
  characters. The usual props in
a thriller would be a weapon
such as a knife or a gun, which
  the antagonist would use. The
  common location for a thriller
  would be a dark dull
  city, because other setting
  would be unsuitable, for
  example the countryside. The
  usual character in a thriller
  would be a antagonist, which
will be a murky character and
  protagonist, which will be an
  enigmatic character.
Syntactic of Thriller
    • The common story of a thriller
genre would be to include an
      antagonist, which would be the
villain and murder ETC. It would
      also include the
      protagonist, which would be the
hero, for example a detective. The
common theme of a thriller would
      be the protagonist searching for
      the antagonist and avenge the
      murders. An example of this
      theme is The Dark Knight
      Rises, where Bain is the
      antagonist and Batman is the
      protagonist.
Conclusion
• From the information I have gained I
found that the semantic and the
syntactic have to be included in our
trailer for it to become a effective
  thriller.
