POTENSINYA
Pada tahun 2022 diperkirakan konsumsi dunia untuk fatty alcohol meningkat sebesar
rata-rata 4 persen pertahun (Compund Annual Growth Rate (CAGR)).
Pertumbuhan konsumsi fatty alcohol tertinggi di Asia adalah di India dan China.
Pertumbuhan konsumsi fatty alcohol di India diperkirakan 10 persen pertahun, jika
pada tahun 2011 konsumsi fatty alcohol India adalah 76 ribu ton maka pada tahun
2022 diperkirakan konsumsi fatty alcohol sebesar 235 ribu ton.
Di China, pada tahun 2011 konsumsi fatty alcohol sebesar 380 ribu ton maka pada
tahun 2022 diperkirakan sebesar 878 ribu ton dengan rata-rata pertumbuhan
pertahun sebesar 8,9 persen.
Di Eropa, pada tahun 2011 konsumsi fatty alcohol sebesar 653 ribu ton dan pada
tahun 2022 diperkirakan menjadi 736 ribu ton.
Pertumbuhan konsumsi fatty alcohol di Amerika diperkirakan 0,9 persen pertahun
sehingga pada tahun 2022 konsumsi fatty alcohol di Amerika Utara sebesar 641 ribu ton.
Sedangkan untuk bagian dunia lainnya, konsumsi fatty alcohol adalah sebesar 50
ribu ton pada tahun 2011 dan diperkirakan meningkat dengan rata-rata
pertumbuhan sebesar 7 persen pertahun
konsumsi fatty alcohol di bagian dunia lainnya (selain Amerika Utara, Amerika
Selatan, India, China, Jepang dan Asia Tenggara) sebesar 104 ribu ton.
