1. Gta 5 target is audience is adults, thus why the game has an 18+ age restriction meaning
people under the age of 18 should not be playing it. This is due to the amount of violence,
nudity, drug use and vile language in the game. Despite this the Gta franchise has millions of
young fans, millions of young people especially people in their teens tend to play Gta. This
game was designed for adults and the content of the game suggests that it was made for
male adults rather than female adults. This is shown in the game as the game contains
violence throughout and violence tends to be more associated with males rather than
females. Also most of the sexual content in the game is seeing females naked for example it
has a strip club where females strip for men. Also on the streets there are prostitutes, men
can pick them up and pay them for sex. This is also another reason as to why the game has
an 18+ age restriction. By having all the sexual references, violence and anti-social behaviour
it reaches out to its target audience; adults.
2. Gta 5 sold around 29 million copies of the game in its first 6 weeks. This is more than Gta 4
sold in its entire lifetime sales. In just 3 days after its release it raked up $1billion in sales.
The game reportedly roughly cost $265 million to develop and market.
The critic said ‘’ Grand Theft Auto V is not only a preposterously enjoyable video game, but also an
intelligent and sharp-tongued satire of contemporary America. It represents a refinement of everything
that GTA IV brought to the table five years ago. It’s technically more accomplished in every

preposterously enjoyable, breath taking in scope and bitingly funny, GTA V is a landmark game’’
