1. The study taught basic cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques to 120 university students and teachers over two classroom sessions. 2. Immediately after the sessions, 89% of students demonstrated the techniques correctly without mistakes according to the new algorithm, and over 90% successfully performed various CPR steps. 3. Six months later, 75% still demonstrated the techniques correctly, showing that CPR knowledge was retained fairly well over time, especially in younger students who tend to have a lower forgetting curve. The study concluded CPR learning should be implemented in high schools to help reduce premature deaths.
