Sheep's heart, liver and lungs (known as "pluck") are the main ingredients in traditional Scottish haggis. The pluck is chopped together with onions, oatmeal, suet, spices and stock, then boiled in the stomach of the sheep. Though its contents may not sound appealing, haggis has a nutty texture and savory flavor. It is an iconic Scottish dish often featured in competitions of haggis hurling and rapid haggis eating.
