• Explain genre theory and, using Chapter 4 of the text as a reference, thoroughly describe
the conventions and attributes of your selected genre.
Science fiction is a genre that focuses on new discoveries, zombies, and robots other
planets, the moon and other advance in technology and even behaviors not familiar to the
human being such as possessing powers (Roberts, 2006). The genre concentrates on things
that the people have to imagine and assume that they exist. Science fiction movies depend on
scientific facts, nature and also scientific theories. The convention of scientific convention
includes setting, film techniques, narrative element, and symbolism. Setting this is the period
and the place that the film is about it can be the previous years or many years to come. It
makes the audience think about the movie in those times and not compare with the actual
time. The place could be in another world, the moon or other planets. The film techniques,
this is the type of shots that are taken during the shooting the techniques are important
because they make the film to appear real and flow with the movie. Narrative content is the
use of the technology invention such as a robot that is functioning like a normal human being.
(Sanders, 2008)It is also about the things happening in the film the problems, the challenges
amongst other situations.
• Identify a feature-length film that fits this genre and provides a basic summary of the
movie. As you develop this summary, remember the differences between a film’s story and a
film’s plot and how these differences can lead to the inclusion of genre elements.

This needs to be formatted

Try reading your essay out
loud. This technique can
help you to eliminate
awkward phrasing,
repetition, and other errors.
For additional assistance,
use the Grammarly tool. Visit

you will find the Grammar

You need to capitalize and
format film titles properly.
They should be either
underlined or in italics (one
or the other but do not go
back and forth). I won't
mention this again so please
be mindful in future
assignments [Sarah

• Interpret at least two genre conventions exhibited in your
chosen feature-length film that
help classify it in the selected genre. Be sure to provide a
specific example of each
convention (e.g., a particular scene or plot component).
The film is a scientific fiction because the scientist is working
on a drug that will help
the brain to create its cell to repair themselves so during the
board meeting to decide whether
they will allow it to be administered to the human being, so they
had earlier tested the drug
on the ape. As part of the observation, scissor whose mother
passed the gene of the drug that
had been administered to her during pregnancy grows up being
very smart he can complete
puzzles, play chess, use gestures. When the health of will father
worsens he decide to put the
drug into test and the drug works positively on the father.
• Provide an example of the third convention from your
chosen feature-length film and
explain how this convention expands the boundaries of the
specified genre.
Another example of how the convention expands the boundaries
8. is of the
intelligence in scissor he escaped the zoo, stole the drug from
Will’s room and went back to
the zoo where he destroys the containers with the drug, and they
inhale, then they start
understanding that the zoo is not their native home which they
later successfully planned and
stormed out, went to the company and destroyed it.

This is a run-on sentence.
The following example
demonstrates how to correct
this error: It is correct to
write, "Samantha wrote a
