The Gray Fox is a mammal found in southern Canada, the United States, and northern parts of South America. It can be identified by its grizzled gray upper parts and black-tipped tail. Males are slightly larger than females. The Gray Fox is able to climb trees using its strong, hooked claws to escape predators or reach food sources high in trees, descending by jumping or slowly backing down.
