1. Kindergarten Keyboarding Parents: In class students worked on making an “L” shape with their left pointer finger and thumb. They then placed their pointer finger on the “f” key and their thumb on the “spacebar”. Please encourage them to practice this at home with you. When you are on the computer and they are asking to help you, there is no harm in letting them push keys for you. My four year old asks me all the time. Yes it can be time consuming, however it can also be a bonding experience. You could also print out this page and have them practice finger placement and pushing keys on the paper keyboard while you work on the “real” computer. Either way is good. Enjoy!
