Korean scientists fired a missile aimed at destroying the moon, so US scientists fired an interceptor missile to save it. By graphing the missile trajectories and calculating their speeds, the group found the missiles would intersect over 10 days after launch, below the moon's orbit, safely intercepting the Korean missile. Their calculations and CIA report concluded the moon was not threatened.
