beer garden. Drinkers in the Bavarian lager-loving city are
celebrating the 200th anniversary of the law that allowed
outdoor drinking.
Before 1812, the beer brewed was stored in cellars along
the River Isar Isar (?`zär), river, 160 mi (257 km) long,
rising in the Tyrol, W Austria, and flowing NE through S
central Germany, past Munich, to the Danube River. There
are more than 25 large hydroelectric plants below Munich. . These became popular spots to sample
