Find four (4) sources of support for your essay. Sources
can be taken from magazines, newspapers, websites,
books, or other media.
Three (3) of your sources need to be highly credible.
One (1) source should be of doubtful credibility.
Your sources should be a blend of support for your
definition/explanation of the problem and your proposed
solution(s).

and/or respected?
• How recent is the source?
• What is the author’s
purpose? Is the author
biased?
• What sources are
valuable to your
audience?
If it is an internet source:
• Who owns the site?
• Is the purpose of the site to inform or to profit?
• Is the site politically motivated?
