Antenna and Wave Propagation

                                  Assignment I

1. Derive the field components and calculate its radiation resistance of half wave dipole
   antenna.
2. Derive the relation between effective aperture, directivity and gain.
3. Explain loop antenna with a sketch and calculate its radiation resistance.


4. Design the radiation pattern of a two element array separated by λ/2 distance of equal




   amplitude and are opposite in phase.




5. Design a four element, end fire array separated by a λ/2 distance and plot its




   radiation pattern (field pattern).
