The main location featured is the boy's home, to show how going to war affects those left behind at home, especially children. Focusing on the child's experience at home makes the impact of the father's absence more personal.
2. My video
My music video is based on a young boy (between the
age of 1-3 years) whose Dad has gone to war and the
video is put out like a letter that his son has written to
him asking him when he is coming home and how his
mum reacts to when he goes away and what he does
every day his dad is away.
3. Locations
With my video being based in a letter format, I haven’t
got any locations in mind. I have images put in place to
put an everyday view on what the child is talking
about.
However, the location that is mainly used is at home
because that’s where the images and videos were taken
at the time.
4. Why have I chosen this location?
Because when the men tend to go to war, the main
place it does affect is at home. This is why the location
of being at home is more effective as well as it being
written by a little child.
It brings the music video more closer to home and it
also allows people to realize that things hurt children a
lot more than most adults realize.
