text that is being written.
Even in the same type of text there may
be several types of paragraphs as these
are combated according to the need of
the subject.

4. Opening paragraph
Here is the introduction of what is going to be treated throughout
the text, here the main idea is exposed, the thesis is presented, the
problem is presented, etc. It is recommended to write it at the end.
You can make appointments, present interrogative phrases, tell an
anecdote or present a summary of the thesis.

It is used to change the theme or to continue the text to expose

The intention of the writer is to convince by means of arguments
and ideas about what he agrees or against.

9. Conceptual paragraph or definition
It is the technical or scientific texts it is indispensable to provide

10. Paragraph Of Enumeration
It is that paragraph that presents its elements in numbered form
and focuses specifically on the hierarchy of information.
ITS FUNCTION: To expose the list of information with which it is
linked to each other.
Descriptive Paragraph
Describe object, person, idea or situation to be discussed.
The author uses the senses to describe the attributes of
who or what is speaking in the text, so that the receiver gets
a clearer picture of what is being described.

11. Explanatory Paragraph
It is the one that helps us to clearly understand the topic we are
talking about, since it gives a broad explanation of the main idea of
the text.
It is used to provide more extensive and detailed information on the
subject matter being discussed, in order to provide a better basis
for the fact that the issuer is referring to.

12. Narrative Paragraph
It is the one that has a situation, which is usually a successive
enumeration of facts usually ordered chronologically.
Types of text in narrative paragraphs:
-Literary narration: the story, the novel
-Historical narrative: The diary, the chronicle, the biography
-Journalistic storytelling: The news
14. Comparative Paragraph
It serves to point out the similarities or differences between two
objects, facts or ideas.
This type of paragraph usually has the following structure:
introductory phrase in which the elements to be compared are
presented and their development, the comparison.

15. Cause- effect paragraph
This type of paragraph presents a fact followed by the
reasons that caused it or the consequences that derive
from it.
His purpose is pose and solve problems within the
development of a given topic, so they present a fact or
situation and clarify the reasons why this was given and
how it can be resolved.
16. Approach and resolution of problems paragraph
This paragraph raises and then resolves a problem of a given
topic. Its use is common in research articles and in
descriptive and scientific texts.
Some variants can be accepted, such as: complete
form,contrasting solutions, omission of the solution and
omission of the problem .
This is structured in two parts:
In the first, the problem is presented, explicitly or veiled.
In the second, the solution is exposed, in the same way as
the problem.
17. Sequence or process paragraph
The sequence paragraph is one in which the ideas are
expressed chronologically, with a main statement and
other secondary ones that support it.
In this type of paragraphs we describe a series of
events in some kind of order, these can be seen in
cooking recipes or protocols to solve a mathematical
problem.
18. Deductive paragraph
Your main idea is at the beginning. For its construction
part of a generalization to then present specific cases.
This is characterized by being an expression that
involves a logical process that goes from the general to
the particular and ends with a conclusion which explains
the content, the reflection, the final idea that summarizes
the paragraph.
19. Inductive paragraph
Your main idea goes to the end. It begins with
sentences that express secondary ideas to arrive at a
generalization, or a thematic idea as a conclusion of
what has been affirmed.
Inductive paragraphs are flexible and can be used in
any area of knowledge.
They are especially useful to create a strong
conclusion.
20. Concluding paragraph
It is used to close a topic or section. It is easy to
detect it because it starts with expressions such as
the following: in conclusion, in synthesis, from all the
above we can conclude that, consequently and
other similar.
