A) Initiation phase for the Data Center:
During early phase of web data has been accessed from a room full of servers in some sort of corporate data centers. As the days are progressing and interests of the people grew in web data as result internet exploded with number of requests for web data. At the same time number of websites are also increased and average downloadable size as well. Google, MIcrosoft and other Companies which are now regarded as top data providers has taken initiative for Rapidly expanding their data centers to meet up the demand. They thought for urgent server data houses for providing web data which today are called as Cloud Data Centers. This can be Stated as Initiation Phase for the Data Center.
B) Requirements Phase for the Data Center:
After iniatiation of cloud data center around the world, Many more started using this. Since Installations must upto to millions of servers, Data Center efficeincy and cost of operation have become crucial. As a result Reqirements for the Data centers also grown rapidly. Most of the data centers started to use electrical power houses to minimal costs. Many coutries started using PODS (Modular data centers), these are self - contained storage servers and modules of networking are in the size of Shipping Containers. some Data centers Connected to power, Cooling and Networking and Some other data centers may use server racks as building blocks. In this way Reqirement Phase has been grown and growing with days.
c) Purpose and Significance of the data center:
1. The main purpose of a data center is running the IT systems applications that handle the core business and operational data of the organization. Such systems may be proprietary and developed internally by the organization, or bought from enterprise software vendors.
2. Also used for off site backups. This is often used in conjunction with backup tapes . Backups can be taken off servers locally on to tapes. However, tapes stored on site pose a security threat and are also susceptible to fire and flooding.
