  2. 2. Iconography<br />These are imagery or symbols which occurs in horror genre or have been repeated in the history. Examples are :<br /><ul><li>Haunted house
  3. 3. Props such as knife, chainsaw etc
  4. 4. Blood, dead people
  5. 5. Grave yards
  6. 6. Good against evil</li></li></ul><li>Setting<br />Horror films are normally set in location or settings where people are most vulnerable such as dark places or at night time. Examples are:<br />Haunted house, abandoned warehouses, during the night.<br />
  7. 7. Narrative<br />A horror genre normally has a good against evil scenario, where monster go terrorising a community or a group of people. Its when the normal people meet the supernatural, etc ‘The wolf man’, ‘The last exorcism’.<br />
  8. 8. Style<br />Horror genre generally use sound to create suspense, they also use different type of shot to such as point of view shot so you are looking through the killer eyes to create mystery or terror to the audience.<br />
  9. 9. Characters<br />The killer is usually a supernatural being such as demons, vampires, ghosts. monsters or someone with a mask on. Victims are usually females or vulnerable young adults.<br />
  10. 10. Theme <br />Themes are normally something to do with struggle. For example, good against evil, loyalty verses deceit etc.<br />
