1. Hitman’s 10 Most Satisfying
Assassinations

assassinations
The Hitman series has for years been synonymous with memorable villains that span across varying
international cultures, vastly differing ideologies, and increasingly vulgar personas. The series has
always been known for its subtle use of dark comedic undertones, but as time progressed, and the
guys at IO Interactive became more bold, the subject matter that fueled these embodiments of evil
became ever more twisted and grotesque. In the early days the targets that populated the games
were the personifications of the stereotypical ‘baddy’. They were drug lords, gang bosses, and war
criminals, to name a few. These characters were indeed bad, that’s something we can all agree on,
but very few of them were actually repulsive – and there’s nothing more enjoyable than ridding
the world of a creep. When it comes to reminiscing on the very best assassinations of the series,
we are very much like a mother with her children – we love them all. Therefore we’ll be focusing
on targets that are head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to being that little bit more
loathsome. Let’s take a look at the 10 most memorable Hitman villains that didn’t just embrace
their role as a bad guy with open arms; they brought it in close, planted a big sloppy kiss on it, and
then copped a feel… Right before being eliminated by none other than our bald headed buddy,
Agent 47.
10. Lorne De Havilland
3. Found in: Contracts For all you non‐British people out there, the inhabitants of Contracts’
Beldingford Manor mission are completely right in their portrayal of an everyday Englishman. No,
seriously, they all live in huge estates, speak with a disturbing sinister received pronunciation, have
a butler, and can’t escape their increasingly desperate desire to hunt man. That’s right – hunt man!
Winston Beldingford holds the position of orchestrator of this little known English pastime.
Abducting athletic youths and releasing them into his grounds, he and his jolly band of aristocratic
drinking buddies hunt them down, and then put them down, with a gun, to the face! He obviously
never had the pleasure of seeing Rambo – you just don’t hunt man, Winston! Jeez! That’s like rule
number one! Adding to his already warped ideas of hunting, he also likes to indulge in voyeuristic
pleasures. A secret compartment can be found leading from his bedroom to a one‐way mirror –
which, of course, looks into the bathroom of a young lady. Winston, you dirty dog! Wait, doesn’t
Agent 47 and therefore the player, technically… hunt man? …Uh oh. Memorable assassination:
Smothering him with a feathery pillow as he sleeps. Sweet dreams, Winston.
8. Vinnie “Slugger” Sinistra
4. Found in: Blood Money Appearing in one of the most loved missions of the series, Vinnie is
definitely one target that lingers vividly in the memories of fans everywhere – and not just because
of his loud dress sense. He takes residence in a large house in a quiet suburbia, where, bored out
of his mind in his quiet new life, he speculates how he will “literally die of it”. Oh, how right he was.
As a former drug smuggler he climbed to the top of America’s Most Wanted list – a task only
accomplished by the most ferocious of criminals. Killing people in witness protection to save his
own skin, he now ironically finds himself in a role reversal. This cowardly shadow of his former self
will retreat and hide in a cupboard if confronted by Agent 47, but spare a second to pity the worn
out has‐been and he’ll put a bullet through the back of your head. Memorable
assassination: Luring him over to the window with a phone call and sniping him from across the
street.
7. Skip Muldoon
8. Found in: Absolution You’d expect any friend of Dom Osmond to be just as messed up, and you’d
be one hundred percent correct. Wade is a despicable human being for many, many reasons. First
and foremost, Wade is responsible for the slaughter of a number of nuns during the mission
Rosewood. Now, if that singular act of evil doesn’t earn Wade a place on this list, we don’t know
what will. Wade has a morbid personality; he’s repulsive in his demeanour, he’s a ruthless killer, he
mocks weaker characters, and he’s a likely a necrophiliac – yeah, you read that correctly. If you are
killed by Wade during your final encounter, you will be shown a cut scene where he will excitedly
suggest how he and his men are going to rape your corpse. So, yeah, possibly the best ever
incentive not to mess up. Memorable assassination: Blasting him with hot steam. However, no
matter which way you kill him he’ll utter the phrase “I got wood man! Why do I have wood?” right
before he dies. Oh, Wade…
2. Campbell Sturrock
Found in: Contracts This guy tops the bill when it comes to the most physically memorable
characters in the series. He is a morbidly obese Scotsman who has an unquenchable appetite for
both meat and females. These two great loves of his come together perfectly to form the backdrop
for the mission The Meat King’s Party. After getting off scot‐free (hah!) for the abduction of a young
girl (who ends up being tortured, murdered, and mutilated), he decides to throw a BDSM fetish
party in his slaughterhouse to celebrate – how very fitting. Memorable assassination: Hiding a
knife in one of his chickens in order to sneak it past the guards.
9. He’ll want his chicken so badly he’ll even send his female companions away, leaving you free to pull
out the knife and do some slaughtering of your own.
1. Blake Dexter
Found in: Absolution Father, businessman, and author of the bestseller, Your Sh*t Don’t Have to
Stink! – Dexter is a man of many talents. Using his immense power within the community of Hope
he regularly gets away with murder, blackmail, and the dumping of toxic waste (That’s right, we
care about the environment!). Anyone who has played Absolution will be more than familiar with
this ruthless depiction of absolute evil. Commanding a surprising amount of screen‐time Dexter
rockets his way to the top of Agent 47’s most persistently present antagonists. They say over
familiarity breeds contempt, and with this guy’s face popping up time and time again in order to
portray his varying degrees of savagery, it’s no surprise that he stands proud as our number one
target we loved to finally kill. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s acted by the very talented Keith
10. Carradine, whose sensationally twisted performance allows Dexter to be considered not only as
Hitman’s most memorable antagonist, but as one of video gaming’s greatest ever villains. Here’s a
short cut‐scene that sums up perfectly why Blake Dexter is an adversary you most certainly
wouldn’t want to meet down a dark alleyway. Memorable assassination: A helipad showdown.
