2. How did it start?
Last year, during the lockdownI had
an urge to change something in my
life. I saw an infomationabout
European SolidairtyCorps project in
Italy and I decidedto apply. Middle
of May 2021 I came to
Triggiano,Apulia to start my project
"Changes&Chances- We are
equal".After 9 months it's safe to say
that it was a great decision. I've
grown a lot during this time and took
this amazing opportunity to learn new
things.
3. What activities
have I done?
• TouPlay
• helping in local food bank
• Happy Campus 2.0
• "Back to Nature" project
• "No Frontiers Allowed" radio show
• "English Music School"
• "Little readers" project
• promotion of Eurosud
4. TouPlay
My cooperation with TouPlay started
as my first activityduring the project.
At the begining I was teaching
children English with a help of
boradgames, but later, as my
knowlegde of Italian improved, I was
helping during English homeworkand
outdor games , like skating and
playing kendama.
5. Associazione
di volontariato
"Divina Misericordia"
For 2 first months I was helping
with packing food boxes for
local food bank and helped
managing social mediaof the
association. As my project was
focsued on helping people with
feweropportunities – had an
occasion to help people in
need from our local community
6. Happy Campus 2.0
In September our city organized summer
camp for children in ages between 4 and
11, where I took care of children, helped
with art and music workshops and taught
basics of English. It was a challenge to
work withsmall children and at first I had
some difficultiesbut as time passed I
learned how to work with them.
7. "Back to nature"
During the summer I
was participated in a project "Back
to nature", which focused on creating
a garden and a common space for
young people in the city, where they
can spend their free time. Me and
other volunteers planted flowersand
helped withcreating seats from
pallets.
8. "No Frontiers Allowed"
radio show
Together withUniversity of Bari and
other volunteers we run a radio show
and Spotify podcast. Our main topic
were – Erasmus + exchanges and
trainings, European Solidarity Corps
opportunities, travelling, cultural shock
and living in Italy as foreigner. Every
weekwe had a chance to learn how
speak on the radio and mange
professional radio equipment
9. "English Music
School"
Teaching English by using songs and
music instruments was another
iniciative run in Triggiano. Kids had a
chance to learn the language by
games, artwork and by learing lyrisc
to famous songs. Me and other
Eurosud members came up with
themed lessons, posters and
energizers
10. "Little Readers"
Together withlocal school I created a
projects called " Litlle readers". Its aim
was to read books in English for
children in ages between 7 and 9
years old. It was supposed to help
them become more comfortable
with the language and people from
different cultures. After readings
children wouldask question and
draw what the understood from
books
11. Promotion of
Eurosud
Throughout those 9 months our
association participatedin various
events, youth exchanges and
international meetings. I helped my
giving informationabout
all opportunities for youth given by
European Union and by taking photos
and making video recordings from the
events.
