2. Extend your life by 100 years
A study was done on a species of
fast-aging mice. By injecting stem
cells from younger mice of the
species in to older mice, the older
mice showed increased lifespans.
In human terms that would be the
equivalent of a 80-year-old living
to be 200.
3. Say “NO” to the Darkness
Some people who have lost
their vision due to trauma
can now see again thanks
to
a
light-sensitive
microchip implanted in the
inner surface of their eyes.
It helps them to see again
but in black and white. It is
powered wirelessly via a
battery which can be kept
in the pocket.
4. Become Invisible
Quantum Stealth is a new fabric,
which bends light waves around
the wearer without the use of
batteries, mirrors or cameras. It
blocks the subject from being
seen by visual means and hidden
from thermal scans and infrared.
5. Silk: Stronger then steel
Scientists from the university of
Wyoming modified a group of
silkworms to produce silk that is
stronger then steel. It can be an
alternative to plastic, lightweight
armor for military purposes.
6. Print a House
With the D-shape printer,
created by Enrico Dini, it
is already possible to
create a real size twostory building with every
detail; including rooms,
stairs and plumbing. It
uses sand and an organic
binding compound, and it
only takes a fourth of the
time
of
traditional
buildings.
7. Freedom in Movements
Now quadriplegics can
function without anyone's
help. At the university of
Pittsburgh,
scientists
created a robot which is
controlled by the brain of
the patient. Working in
seventh dimension (7D) the
robot can perform the
complex
motions
of
everyday life.
