Consumerism Behaviour
          Impact
Consumerism increases the quality of life of an
individual since it gives him the option of
having more quality in the things he consumes.
Better quality in the good or services you
consume make them last longer, and give you an
easier life with a better quality.  Consumerism
has also a huge impact on societies.
Consumerism has created the social/economic
classes present in our society. Those who have
more things and of higher quality or luxury are
from the higher class and are more “powerful”.
While those in the lower classes that have no
resources for luxury are not always respected
by others. This behaviour is also present at
schools, where kids with designer clothing brag
and bully those from the lower classes that
have normal clothes.

This feels the environment for those
who have few resources with fear
and have less quality of life. When
talking about the green impact on
consumerism and quality of life , we
can find positive and negative
effects. For example, when we buy a
SUV, our quality of life increases and
we affect the market. However when
we put in use our SUVs we pollute the
environment. Also , the increasing of
consumerism and wants, creates the
necessity of manufacturing more
good at the factories, creating a
negative impact on the environment.
Wise Consumer
Wise Consumer

A wise consumer is the one who spends their money in a correct way.
Never surpassing their salary, and leaving enough money for its basic
needs.
Steps for being a wise consumer:
1. You must combine store sales, always buying in the best option.
2. Get informed about the company, product or service. You must know
what you are buying and to who, to know if the quality  is the best
3. Get informed about the prices. Sometimes buying in bulk is not the
   best option
4.Never, ever, give information about yourself at a store if you are not
sure for what they are using it.
Wants and Needs

           Need Want
Wants and Needs
Shelter, transportation ,food
and clothing are the basic
needs for a person to sur vive.
While wants are more than
the basic you need in order to
live, to live an easier life. Need Want
Examples of wants are
clothing form a specific brand
or store, the new iPhone, a
new video games, and bigger
houses.

Important Factors
The possibility to invest is also a way to improve your quality of life,
since you may get more retributions.  If Mexico could provide all this
factors to its citizens the rank of the country in several areas would
increase. However now a day public education only gets until high
school. The poor regions of Southern Mexico and other rural areas
are the most affected by the issue of not providing health care or
education. This limits the quality of life of the citizens, since they
don’t have a way to improve their lives and some can barely survive.
If Mexico encouraged education in those areas, quality of life and the
rank of the country would increase. Consumerism and job
opportunities would rise also.

Taxes in America and Mexico are used
differently. In the USA, these taxes can

These schools, in compression with Mexican

given to USA citizens make them better as
an individual and as a country. In the other
hand, Mexico lacks of good public education,
and for some communities there is no
education available. This has been a major
                     barrier in Mexico’s development.

USA’s higher taxes also make possible the
free health care. In Mexico, not all
citizens have access to this, and the
hospitals’ facilities are not always in the
better condition. Thanks on how USA’s
economic system manages taxes, it is
possible to give Social Security, also
known as the green card, to all citizens.
In Mexico, often this process is changed
by the government. All this factors
contribute to increasing the quality of

of citizens.

Better quality in the good or services you consume make them last longer, and give you an easier life with a better quality.  Consumerism has also a huge impact on societies. Consumerism has created the social/economic classes present in our society. Those who have more things and of higher quality or luxury are from the higher class and are more “powerful”. While those in the lower classes that have no resources for luxury are not always respected by others. This behaviour is also present at schools, where kids with designer clothing brag and bully those from the lower classes that have normal clothes.

  • 67. Important Factors The possibility to invest is also a way to improve your quality of life, since you may get more retributions.  If Mexico could provide all this factors to its citizens the rank of the country in several areas would increase. However now a day public education only gets until high school. The poor regions of Southern Mexico and other rural areas are the most affected by the issue of not providing health care or education. This limits the quality of life of the citizens, since they don’t have a way to improve their lives and some can barely survive.   If Mexico encouraged education in those areas, quality of life and the rank of the country would increase. Consumerism and job opportunities would rise also.
  • 68. Mexican and the American economic systems USA PUBLIC SCHOOL MEXICO PUBLIC SCHOOL
  • 69. Mexican and the American economic systems USA PUBLIC SCHOOL Taxes in America and Mexico are used differently. In the USA, these taxes can provide public schools for all the citizens. These schools, in compression with Mexican public schools, give a high education and the facilities are very good, almost as a private MEXICO PUBLIC SCHOOL school in Mexico would look.  The education given to USA citizens make them better as an individual and as a country. In the other hand, Mexico lacks of good public education, and for some communities there is no education available. This has been a major barrier in Mexico’s development.
  • 70. Mexican and the American economic systems
  • 71. Mexican and the American economic systems USA’s higher taxes also make possible the free health care. In Mexico, not all citizens have access to this, and the hospitals’ facilities are not always in the better condition. Thanks on how USA’s economic system manages taxes, it is possible to give Social Security, also known as the green card, to all citizens. In Mexico, often this process is changed by the government. All this factors contribute to increasing the quality of life  in the USA for the greatest number of citizens.
