Ferco Seating Systems was established in 1983 by our
CEO, Tim Barr. What started as a humble seating supplier,
has now evolved into one of the world’s largest manufacturers
across multiple sectors such as auditoriums, cinemas,
education halls and sporting arenas.

journey through our thought processes, from
concept through to final product. There is even
a built-in cinema and a staged sports seating
area for the 360° full experience.
They say ideas are only the beginning, and execution
is everything. Ferco’s Engineering department masters
both. It is where the birth of an idea grows as an R&D
experiment, or an ergonomic prototype. It is where
innovations start, and existing ones become better.
Every part is crafted to measure, and the sum of it
all is a form that follows strict function; seats
must be as comfortable as they are visually pleasing.
Our engineers spend their days exploring how to
make products work better and more efficiently -
optimising seating layouts and re-designing current
models or creating new ones to meet the most
challenging performance specifications.

cinema at the Singapore Post Centre mall,
Ferco’s innovative seating systems were Golden
Village’s go-to choice for a new and modern
seating solution.
Our newly developed Paragon 760 NB seats
were fitted with Probax technology that
enhances the viewing experience for moviegoers
by improving posture and reducing the degree
of constriction in blood vessels. This means that
guests will experience reduced backaches,
decreased muscle fatigue, and improved blood
and oxygen flow. The Paragon 760 NB also
boasts a multi-angle positioned backrest and a
luxurious aesthetic.

learning systems for their Clattern Lecture Theatre.
The ARC One seats with fixed desks are an innovative
seating solution that enables students to turn their seats

to work in collaborative peer groups.
The popular ARC Swivel lecture theatre seat was
adapted to deliver turn-and-learn functions with either
an integrated A3 Wrimatic tablet or a fixed writing
ledge. It rotates 360o
to facilitate collaborative
learning and sharing while its contoured design
elevates lumbar support and posture, making it the

The University of Melbourne in Australia seeked to adapt
their classrooms to how students learn today and
partnered with Ferco Seating to install seats
that provide integrated power and data points in its
Kathleen Fitzpatrick Theatre. With the FT10 Wrimatic
system, students can be sure that their electronic
devices will never run out of juice in the middle of a
lecture. Another aspect that makes this seat great?

17. LONDON OLYMPIC AQUATIC CENTRE,
UNITED KINGDOM
The London Aquatic Centre is an indoor facility with
two 50-metre swimming pools and a seating capacity
of 17,500. It was one of the main venues of the 2012
Summer Olympics and Paralympics.
Our FCB-M was chosen for this as it is an ideal
sp e c t ato r sp o r t s se at m u c h reve re d fo r it ’s
contemporary design. It can be colour customised for
any venue, indoor or out, and is extremely flexible
being either floor or riser mounted. It is known to be
one of the most comfortable plastic seats available
with ergonomics at the forefront of the design brief.

LUSAIL MULTI-PURPOSE HALL, QATAR
The Lusail Sports Arena is an aspirational multi-purpose
sports facility inaugurated with the men’s World Cup
Handball tournament in 2015.
The arena is the largest in the Middle East with a floor
area of 107,650m2
but the level of detail future-proofs
this stadium far beyond any design concept. The Qatar
Olympic Committee wanted to focus on spectator
comfort and luxurious aesthetic to ensure a spectator-
friendly experience.
Our ARC seating collection was chosen for its ergonomic
functionality, proven durability and low maintenance
record. It was also customised with additional features
including cup holders, personalised branding and
integrated data points.
