Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Mecca in 570 AD. He was orphaned at a young age and raised by his grandfather and uncle from the prominent Quraysh tribe. As a young man, he worked as a merchant and gained a reputation for being trustworthy. He married Khadijah, a wealthy merchant, who was the first to accept his prophethood. Throughout his life, Muhammad displayed exemplary character, humility, kindness and compassion, establishing the foundations of Islam.

Muhammad is the last prophet
and founder of Islam.
He (PBUH) was an Arab’s religious, social, and political
leader.
He was a prophet sent by ALLAH to preach and confirm
the teachings
of Adam(a.s), Ibrahim(a.s), Musa(a.s), Isaa(a.s), and
other Prophets of ALLAH.
5. Birth
Muhammad (PBUH) was born around 570, AD in Mecca
(now in Saudi Arabia). His father died before he was born
and he was raised first by his grandfather and then his uncle.

MUHAMMAD (PBUH) belonged to a respectable family of
the Quraysh tribe.
The family was active in Meccan politics and trade.

The Quraysh is the only tribe to whom a whole "surah," or
chapter—albeit a brief one of just two verses—is dedicated in
the Quran:
7. Appearance
He is a man of black hair and large skull.
His complexion has a tinge of redness.
His shoulder bones are broad and his palms and feet are
fleshy.
He has long al-masrubah which means hair growing from
neck to navel.
He is of long eye-lashes, close eyebrows, smooth and
shining fore-head and long space between two shoulders.
When he walks he walks inclining as if coming down from a
height.
I never saw a man like him before him or after him.
8. Teenage
In his early teens, Muhammad (PBUH) worked in a camel
caravan, following in the footsteps of many people his age, born
of meager wealth.
Working for his uncle, he gained experience in commercial
trade traveling to Syria and eventually from the Mediterranean
Sea to the Indian Ocean.
In time, Muhammad earned a reputation as honest and sincere,
acquiring the nickname “al-Amin” meaning faithful or
trustworthy.
9. Marriage
In his early 20s, Muhammad (PBUH) began working for a
wealthy merchant woman named Khadijah, 15 years his
senior.
She soon became attracted to this young, accomplished man
and proposed marriage.
He accepted and over the years the happy union brought
several children. Not all lived to adulthood.
Hazrat Khadija was also the first person on the planet who
considered Muhammad (PBUH) as the Prophet of ALLAH.
10. Behavior
By nature he was gentle and kind-hearted, always
inclined to be gracious and to overlook the
faults of others.
Politeness and courtesy, compassion and tenderness,
simplicity and humility, sympathy and sincerity were some of
the keynotes of his character.
About himself the Prophet said “Allah has sent me as an apo
stle so that I may demonstrate perfection of character, refine
ment of manners and loftiness of deportment."
11. Facts About Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH)
At the age of nine(9) he started going on trade trips along
with his uncle.
In one of his trips he met a Christian scholar, the scholar
said to his uncle that he will one day do something great and
I can see it because all the trees, mountains and sea are in
the bow in front of him.
For the first 54 years of his life he had only one wife. His
only wife until the 50th year of his life was Sayyida Khadija.
Prophet Muhammad never ate alone. He invited others and
then ate with them.
12. He encouraged the washing of hands before and after
eating food.
He regularly visited the poor and ill.
He used to mend his clothes, repair his shoes and sweep the
floor as well as do the household shopping during his
married life.
