Versace 2016
Pre Fall Collection
For pre-fall, Donatella Versace continued
to explore the urban, street-inspired world
she delivered for spring. Shifting away
from the brandās signature, extremely
sexy aesthetic, for something more sober
and sharp. The collection was smart - at
times even intellectual - based on
Versaceās idea of modern femininity: A real
woman who is predisposed to glamour
but is not immune to practical needs.
Far less ļ¬eshy and ļ¬ashy than previous
seasons, much of the lineup qualiļ¬ed as
conservative by house standards. Yet the
attitude was ļ¬erce as ever. Streamlined
cuts gave minimalist tailoring - a navy
jacket, slim pants and a crisp blue shirt; a
cropped, molded jacket and stirrup pants -
an athletic edge that was enhanced by graphic striped belts and contrast colors,
like blue and orange that brought to mind retro ski gear. More feminine, but not
girly, were pieces done in menās wear patterns - tweeds and houndstooth -
mashed up with micro ļ¬orals and colorful graphic details. To enhance the urban
mood, a graļ¬ti-inspired pattern was splashed on separates. Evening consisted of
slight, hourglass silhouettes, feminized tailored wool and cashmere coats and
blazers, and micro ļ¬orals printed over menās wear fabrics countered the classically
mannish with something girlish.
Versace also kept things chicly covered up with a long-sleeve black gown done
with subtle sheer panels and grommet details to toughen it up.
42. The most popular star of movie world in the 1950s, Marilyn Monroe once
said: āGive a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world,ā. If we
decode this utterance of hers, we can say with certainty that she was talking
of heels.
No doubt heels have a part to play in the life of the female whether it be in
the board room environment or in the bar. Lets reveal to you some of the
secrets relating to wearing of heels in the right way.

HOW TO WALK ELEGANTLY
IN HEELS
43. There is a limit to maintaining fast
walking pace when you wear heels.
One must understand that heels do
not allow unreasonable pace. In case
you try this you end up putting your
neck forward in order to make up the
imbalance which gives a peculiar look.
So the trick is to lean just the slightest
bit back.
Tip 4:
If you are wearing a heel you have to avoid
putting your complete foot down in one go.
The essential thing to remember is that
when you are wearing heel s, it is necessary
to put the heel down and the toe must
follow. In this way the walk will look smooth
and graceful.
When wearing heels, you have avoid taking a
big step. The steps that you take have to be
smaller and what must be ensured is that
the number of steps you take are appropri-
ately distanced. The steps may not be baby
like but they should not be long strides.
Fast pace of walk in heel is not too natural
and makes the movement rather awkward.
By taking smaller steps the balance is better
and besides this walking slow reļ¬ects conļ¬-
dence and grace.
Tip 1:
Tip 2:
Tip 3:
You have to visualize the straight line
in order to achieve good results. You
must keep the end point and view.
Walking in heels can become really
graceful if you look at the goal point.
While walking do not look at your
heels as you walk, instead keep look-
ing straight.
Tip 5:
44. Tip 3:
Winter is not particularly gentle on skin. Hereās how you can protect your
skin. Before you pull out those woolies, itās time to prep your skin checklist
for winter.
Moisturise
This is a cardinal winter rule. But, use a winter-speciļ¬c moisturiser, prefer-
ably one thatās oil-based. Oil-based moisturisers helps retain moisture and
keeps your skin soft and supple.
Slather on the sunscreen
Donāt ignore the sunscreen. Just because itās winter, donāt ignore the sun-
screen. Winter sun is just as harsh as summer sun.

LOOK AFTER YOUR SKIN
THIS WINTER
45. Avoid hot baths
For most, hot baths may be an essential. However, when water is
very hot, it dehydrates skin, which leads to dryness. Soak in a luke-
warm bath with bath salts.
Cleanse gently
When cleansing your skin, be very gentle. Use products that are
light and winter-friendly.
Eat right
Foods that contain Omega-3 fatty acids are an essential. It may be
beneļ¬cial for your skin.
Use the right products
And ļ¬nally, make sure that youāre particular about what you use on
your skin. Amwayās Artistry Youth Xtend range may be a good
option for you.
46. In the world of hair loss, emotions can get a bit touchy. If looking in the
mirror, you see signs that are causing you to worry about your locks, then
you are in luck. This article is packed with helpful tips to help you beat or
mask your hair loss. To help stave oļ¬ hair loss be cautious with the types of
chemicals and treatments you put on it. Many dyes have chemicals in them
that are not good for your hair. Trust your hair to a licensed beautician, and
you may be able to prevent some hair loss before it starts.

TRICKS TO HELP WITH HAIR
LOSS IN THE FUTURE
47. Exercise
If you have a very hectic life, make sure that
you ļ¬nd at least one hour during the day to
exercise. Exercising helps to relieve stress
and ļ¬ushes out the toxins from your body.
Aim to exercise at least three days a week to
maintain a healthy head of hair.Wear a swim-
ming cap if you frequently exercise or swim
in chlorinated swimming pools.
The chlorine found in most pools can cause major damage to your hair even making it fall
out. If you opt to swim in a pool without a cap, be sure to wash your hair thoroughly after
swimming. Exercise is essential not only for a healthy overall lifestyle, but also to help re-grow
your hair. Because your scalp needs ample oxygen and blood ļ¬ow in order to grow strong,
healthy hair, exercising more will boost this and allow for your scalp to produce solid hair
follicles that ultimately lead to stronger hair.
It is known that poor health and bad nutrition ļ¬rst manifest in the ļ¬ngernails and hair folli-
cles. As such, make sure to get good nutrition. However, do not over indulge in any one par-
ticular thing. An over consumption of Vitamin A and E have both been linked to hair loss. It is
crucial that you have enough monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats in your diet in
order to prevent hair loss. Unlike unhealthy fats, these provide your body and scalp with the
nutrition you need in order for hair to stay healthy and stay in place. Foods high in these fats
include peanut butter, vegetable oil, and avocados.
Nutrition
48. Many factors may result in hair loss, including certain illnesses and poor nutrition. If you have
started losing hair and suspect itās not due to genetics, it may signify a thyroid or hormonal
problem. Prolonged fevers are another culprit. Anemia and other vitamin deļ¬ciencies can
cause both men and women to lose hair, as can low-calorie or low-protein diets. If youāre not
sure why youāre losing your hair, itās a good idea to see if your doctor can diagnose an under-
lying cause.

Fashion & Trends
Every winter, one of the hardest struggles that fashionistas go through
is looking for something to wear thatās both comfy and stylish. A puļ¬er
vest is a really nice and comfortable piece of clothing but, unfortunately,
it isnāt the easiest to style and nor is it the most ļ¬attering piece of outer-
wear you can wear. Itās a nice layer to add on to your outļ¬t, sure, but you
need to know how to make it work for you so you can own it. Here are a
few tips on how to look good in a puļ¬er vest.
STYLE TIPS ON HOW TO WEAR
PUFFER VESTS THIS FALL
53. WEAR IT IN BLACK
Black is always a good idea. Puļ¬er vests
have the natural tendency to make
people look stouter and if thatās not okay
with you, you can always counter the
eļ¬ect by wearing it in a slimming color
like black. Whatās more is that black is so
versatile, it will allow you to wear anything
underneath your puļ¬er vest.
54. OPT FOR THE QUILTED
PATTERN ā the horizontal
stitching on puļ¬er vests is
what makes them the oppo-
site of slimming so another
trick that you can do to
counter that eļ¬ect is to opt
for a puļ¬er vest with a
quilted design instead of
the horizontal ones.
55. LIVEN IT UP ā most of the time, the puļ¬er vests that you will ļ¬nd will come in plain, solid
colors and, when paired up with something in a plaid and solid color underneath as well,
tends to look boring. To liven up your puļ¬er vest, make sure to wear something interesting
underneath. This can be a bold and vibrant hue, a quirky print, a combination of both or more.
56. PAIR IT WITH SKINNY
JEANS / LEGGINGS ā the
best bottoms to pair with
puļ¬er vests, I ļ¬nd, are skinny
jeans and leggings. The
skinny ļ¬t from these create a
nicely balanced silhouette
when paired with anything
chunky on top such as a
puļ¬er vest.
57. KEEP LAYERS TO A MINI-
MUM ā another tip I have
if you want to look good in
a puļ¬er vest is to make
sure that you keep your
layers down to a mini-
mum. The puļ¬er vest
itself is already a chunky
piece so youāll want to
keep the rest of your
outļ¬t as slim as possible.
58. DITCH THE PUFFY PUFFER VEST ā some puļ¬er
vests are just too puļ¬y. Thatās not the kind that you
want. If youāre trying to avoid a chunky and stout
silhouette, choose the sleeker and slimmer
designs over the usual puļ¬y vest.

Men Interest
It would seem simple, but certain scents have youthful connotations ā or
will at least remind everyone of something once popular in the 1990s,
and should have stayed there. Others are better matched with suits, the
preserve of men well into middle age. And some will make you whiļ¬ like
an old peopleās home. What you need is the right spray at the right time.
Weāre all for raging against the dying of the light, of course. But itās time to
stop clinging onto your youth when youāre ļ¬oundering at the fragrance
counter in Boots. Like the tide, time moves inexorably on. This, then, is
your lifeline: a guide to the fragrances best suited to your age. Consider
yourself plucked from the current. Weāll see you for the dry down.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT
FRAGRANCE FOR YOUR AGE
61. Davidoļ¬ Cool Water, available at Boots
Prada Luna Rossa Sport
Davidoļ¬ Cool Water, available at Boots
During these sprightly years one truism holds
supreme: you can do whatever the hell you want. Itās
unlikely youāll have a job for which there are draconian
fragrance rules, so go all out. Once you hit your late
twenties, youāll probably begin to look back on this
version of yourself with envy; these are the good years
during which not giving a sh*t is positively encour-
aged. Youth is wasted on the young, if you believe
George Bernard Shaw. So donāt squander this oppor-
tunity. To that end, go bold with your fragrance.
Your peers will certainly lean towards a sweeter smell, usually top-noted with strong citrus and
possibly even something metallic.Davidoļ¬ Cool Water is of course a major component of most
amorous teenage boysā dating kit and remains a bestseller (for good reason), so donāt turn your
nose up at it. If youāre looking for something bolder, Paco Rabanne One Million is as youthful
but with a touch more distinctiveness.
Look at you, getting all grown up. Time to get a job, son. Itās also worth noting that the fairer sex
tend to mature at a much quicker rate than us chaps, so if both your getup and Cool Water
have carried over from your teens into your twenties, an overhaul is overdue if you want to
impress at the local watering hole. While an oud is probably out of ļ¬nancial reach and decidedly
too intense, something smarter beckons.
Or at least something fresher; sweet fragranc-
es are the preserve of the young. With aromat-
ic berry undertones and a hint of lavender
coming through this otherwise spicy, citrusy
scent, Prada Luna Rossa Sport will deliver a
quick punch and lasting impression. Luna
Rossa Sport was created by Daniela Andrier, a
perfumer well versed in the Prada lines with a
back catalogue including some of Bvlgariās
best scents, so rest assured your neck and
wrists are in good hands.
62. Acqua di Parma Colonia Oud
These years can be diļ¬cult for men. Youāre certainly no longer a sprightly youth, but
who wants to let go? Entering middle age is no reason to let your style wane, mind you.
If itās part of your persona, then donāt let your edge dissipate like an old scent. Youāve
more tricks up your sleeve. One of which is
Acqua di Parmaās Colonia Oud. Ouds are
polarising, of course, but thatās nothing to
fear at a time when youāre truly starting to
know yourself, if you ask us. If they donāt like
it, stuļ¬ āem. The beauty of Colonia Oud is its
marriage between Coloniaās unmistakable
vibrancy and freshness, so synonymous
with Acqua di Parma, and the deeper oud
scent of agarwood. Itās a fusing of your
youth and vigour with the distinctiveness of
older age. Itās a glance back to what came
before and a look forward to things to
come.
almost guaranteed to be unique in most workplaces. Without being too punchy, it
delivers a woody, spicy, citrus scent thatās underpinned by the subtlest sweetness. In
short: it covers all bases and does so with aplomb.
Terre dāHermes.
Face it: youāre getting on. OK, not really, but itās prob-
ably time some trendy Scandi ornament took priority
over the PlayStation as your living room centrepiece.
āSpray-on skinnyā should no longer have a place your
wardrobe; your T-shirts should become gradually less
graphic-y. Those things you could still get away with in
your early twenties have no place here. Allow them to
be lost in the mists of time, yeah? As your wardrobe
swells and career ļ¬ows, donāt allow your scent to ebb
back to a time less sophisticated. Something thatāll get
you noticed for the right reasons at the oļ¬ce is Terre
dāHermes. One of the most experimental launches in
the last decade, it remains unusual still, and is
63. Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
Everyone knows men get better with age. Itās time for sharp suits, tailored sweats, cigars,
country walks, broadsheets, Radio 4 and the corner oļ¬ce. Frankly, we canāt wait. Another
plus, of course, is that you can go back to that youthful attitude of your teens: not giving
a sh*t. Indeed, youāre never been your own man as much as you are now. Which is why
itās time to go even bolder with your fragrance, instead of reverting to Old Spice. Tom
Fordās Tobacco Vanille is warm with the scent of smokiness carried by a creaminess and
slight sweetness. The design was inspired by the smell of a traditional English
gentlemanās club. Which is more in keeping with how you should smell at this age than
Joopās eau de nightclub ļ¬oor

67. Sensorwake
Wake up and smell the croissants! You canāt get more French than this. Instead of blast-
ing your ears with some god-awful alarm every morning, this alarm clock invented by a
talented 19-year-old Frenchman wakes you with smells. Simply pop a scent canister into
the clock before you go to bed ā kind of like putting a coļ¬ee pod into a machine ā and
the pungent smell will arouse your senses in the morning. Creator Guillaume Rolland
says the only time it wonāt work is if you have a blocked nose, in which case there is a
back-up. If you donāt press the button on the clock within three minutes to let it know
youāre awake, it will start playing music. Working in partnership with a French perfumier,
the initial seven scents are croissant, espresso, seaside, lush jungle, chocolate, pepper-
mint and ā exclusively for the projectās Kickstarter backers ā the smell of money. Each
pod last for 30 alarms, or about a month. Pre-orders are available now at $US109 for the
clock with a free capsule, while a pack of two capsules is $10. First shipping is scheduled
for May.
SleepPhones is simple but great: a ļ¬eecy headband with headphones inside that ļ¬ts
snugly round your head so you can fall asleep to music. Manufacturer Acoustic Sheep has
a few diļ¬erent models, including the basic at $US39.95 which has a headphone jack and
inbuilt snoozy music that fades to peace and quiet as you fall asleep; and a Bluetooth ver-
sion for $US99.95 through which you can stream your own music. The battery lasts 13
hours and is rechargeable by pulling the module out of the ļ¬eecy band and plugging it
into power, or leaving it in the band and using wireless charging.

68. Prizm
Oree
This ācontext awareā music player knows
who is in the room and what theyāre up to
ā and will populate playlists accordingly.
It works by connecting to your music
streaming service of choice and scanning
your playlists to learn what you and other
people love. It knows when you or
another member of the household is in
the room by detecting your mobile
devices, and then plays music that it
knows everyone will appreciate. Prizm
also reads the mood of the room ā
whether itās a quiet evening, or a party
with friends ā and will change the vibe of
the music accordingly. Itās designed to
bypass your smartphone and streaming
service to become your personal DJ. You
can ālikeā songs just as with a streaming
service by pressing the heart button on
the device. At $US149, Prizm will start
shipping to its Kickstarter backers, and
also be available for general purchase
online, in February.
French design smarts meet tech know-
how with these exquisite computer
accessories made from natural materials
including wood, marble, leather and
copper. The $US190 keyboard has the
satisfying clack of an old-school type-
writer yet is as smooth as a MacBook Air.
A trackpad is sold separately for the same
price. They work with both Mac and Win-
dows and connect via Bluetooth. Also in
the range is a wireless charge called
Pebble, available in wood or marble,
starting at $US160. It triples as a speaker-
phone and paperweight. The newest in
the range (and most expensive at
$US420, thanks to more elaborate tech
smarts) is the Stylograph: a pack which
includes a copper-coated, smart ballpoint
pen; a leather-coated journal; and special
paper, of which you can buy reļ¬lls. The kit
together will store every mark you make
in the pen, and you can upload it to your
digital device afterwards.
69. Pic
These absurdly cute bendable cameras look like the love child of a troll doll and a Minion.
You can wrap them around anything you want to capture compelling footage ā your
ankle while you skate, your bike handlebar while you ride, your windscreen wipers while
you drive.
Pic shoots video in 1080p high-deļ¬nition with an 8MP camera, and can store 16GB of
data. Files are transferred via USB and you can check battery power or take remote shots
via the mobile app. While Pic is portable and ļ¬exible, the battery only lasts for an hour
when ļ¬lming video. Available online from February.
ili
From the people who brought us The
Ring, one of the standout gadgets at
CES 2015, ili is like the long sought-
after Babel Fish from the Hitchhikerās
Guide to the Galaxy. Though its
design is simple ā a small, white rec-
tangular pendant with a button ā it
translates languages in real time with
voice activation. ili is not some magi-
cal version of Google Translate in a

device for each language. But the
upside is it works without being con-
nected to the internet, as all the
smarts are stored inside. Not avail-
able to the public just yet, ili is reach-
ing out to partners in the travel
industry to ship its ļ¬rst product,
which will be available in English,
Japanese and Chinese. French, Thai

'I NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO
FEEL YOUNG'
A. R. RAHMAN
A. R. Rahman straddles diļ¬erent continents, cultures and a cornucopia of commit-
ments. Though the journey is "tough", the Oscar-winning composer says he makes
sure to pick projects which don't let him get bored of his work. In an interview, he has
spoken about juggling between diļ¬erent places, his new projects and life away from
his family.
79. You are rarely able to do Bollywood scores
these days. How do you manage to turn
down Mumbai producers politely?
(laughs) It's tough, very tough. But at this
juncture of my career, I only want to do the
music that motivates me to work harder.
Otherwise, you lose your audience. The rela-
tionship becomes like an old, boring mar-
riage.
What do you mean?
It's very important for me to not get bored
with the work that I'm doing. That's why after
doing a series of epic/period ļ¬lms, I did
something young like the song Khalifa in
Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. After that I've only
said yes to Shekhar Kapur's Paani and Imtiaz
Ali's Tamasha. And I've also said yes to Rhea
Kapoor's ļ¬lm. That's about it for now.
Are you tired of the epic scores?
Not at all. I love doing them. So much detail-
ing and labour goes into them. Every epic
score is an elaborate experience. On a per-
sonal level, it is also very enlightening for me
to visit a particular era. While doing the
music for a period ļ¬lm, I discover a whole
new culture.
Do you enjoy rediscovering a culture as you
create a music score?
Immensely. But at the same time, it is also
important to ļ¬nd an emotional connect with
the ļ¬lmmaker I work with.
Are you happy with the treatment of your
songs on screen?
Well, a lot of my very good songs in ļ¬lms like
Rang De Basanti and Delhi 6 were used as
soundtracks in the background. They were
not used as lip sync. So the reach of those
songs was just 30 or 40 per cent of what it
was meant to be. Songs that are sung by
major stars on screen get played in clubs
and on radio. They make a psychological
impact on the audiences' mind. One reason
why I want to compose music in young sto-
ries is because these ļ¬lms allow their actors
to sing on screen.
80. How do you manage your time between
India and abroad?
It's tough. When I have a project abroad, it
takes me a month or a month-and-a-half to
take care of it. I go with the ļ¬ow, basically.
Thankfully, communication is far easier today
than it was when I started out with my inter-
national career. I can be connected to and
from any part of the world.
What international assignments have you
done lately?
I've completed two assignments Million
Dollar Arm and The Hundred Foot Journey.
Both were very satisfying experiences. The
working methods abroad are entirely diļ¬er-
ent from home. Fortunately, I'm given the
liberty to do purely international sounds
abroad. I don't have to use Indian instru-
ments.
But you do miss your family when you're
abroad?
It's a sacriļ¬ce. I'm missing out on my children
growing up. But sometimes I do take my chil-
dren abroad with me when they have school
vacations. But they can't accompany me eve-
rywhere. It's not possible to wrench them
away from their lives and ask them to join me
wherever I am.
Do you miss having time to just relax?
That's one of the advantages of being
abroad. You don't get mobbed on the roads.
People leave you alone even if they recog-
nise you. I can take long walks without being
disturbed. All those things that I miss doing
at home, I am able to do when I am abroad.
You are now 47. How do you manage to
sound so young in your music?
Because when I was actually very young, I
didn't get a chance to feel young. As a child, I
spent so much time with musicians who
were 40-plus, chewing paan and discussing
classical styles. I felt like one of them as a
child. Today, I feel younger than I did when I
was actually young.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH
KINGFISHER CALENDAR
MODEL KYRA DUTT
Twenty-four-year-old newcomer Kyra Dutt is not just another hot bod Kingļ¬sher
model-turned-actress. Behind all the glitz and the glamour, lies a Bengali girl who writes
beautiful poetry and has even given a TED Talk for a peace initiative. āMy mother gave
me the name Kyra,ā she smiles.
82. āIt means āthe light of Godā in Egyptian. It
also means āsomeone who is
enthronedā,ā she explains.
Ask her about her debut with the
National Award winning director Madhur
Bhandarkar and she says, āOh, Madhur
sir is one director who has always gone
against the ļ¬owā¦ Tabu in Chandni Bar,
Bipasha Basu in Corporate or Priyanka
Chopra in Fashion ā he has always been
an actressā director. For me itās like a
dream come true to feature in his Calen-
dar Girls.ā She has already landed a
meaty part in her second ļ¬lm, Ken
Ghoshās erotic drama titled XXX, pro-
duced by Ekta Kapoor and slated to
release next year. She also signed a cer-
tain ānudity clauseā as part of the con-
tract. āIt says that Iām legally bound to
expose according to the demands of
the script.ā
The clause also covers shooting intimate
scenes and use of explicit language. āItās
a performance-oriented movie. The
nudity clause came with the contract of
XXXā¦ Itās good to have that little ļ¬re out
there and let people keep guessing what
itās all about.ā The newbie says she wasnāt
unnecessarily inhibited by the nude
scenes. āMy DoP was a woman and it was
a closed set. The greatest way to over-
come fear for any actor is by letting go of
their inhibitions.ā Kyra was a student at
Mumbaiās St. Xavierās college before she
became a calendar model for Kingļ¬sher.
Says she, āI am one of those girls who
donāt think sheās pretty. I need to be con-
stantly reminded that I am. Honestly, I
believe I am average. When photogra-
pher Atul Kasbekar saw me at designer
Arjun Khannaās party, he came up to me
and said, āYou should try for the King-
ļ¬sher calendar.ā
I wondered if he was kidding.ā But she
did take the leap, cleared the audition
and here she is today. Probe her if the
ļ¬lm has taken any references from the
actual Chairman of the now grounded
Kingļ¬sher Airlines, Vijay Mallya and she
denies it. āHmmmā¦ I donāt think so.
Maybe it takes references from a liquor
baron who makes sexy calendars all year
83. round, but no, not speciļ¬cally Vijay
Mallya.ā She says that the best part about
these two movies is the fact that her
roles are completely diļ¬erent. āSharon
Pinto from Calendar Girls is this young,
free-spirited, happy go lucky, yet a sorted
girl from Goa. She is modern but at the
same time rooted to her culture. She
does this calendar shoot and thatās when
things change for her. Soon she starts
seeing the reality of this industry. Just like
meā¦ā As far as XXX is concerned, she
remains tight- lipped about her charac-
ter.
āAll I can tell you is that she is absolutely
crazy! Sheās also mysterious and unpre-
dictable.ā She continues, āMadhur sir
doesnāt want you to come with any pre-
conceived notions. He just wants you to
surrender to him completely. For XXX, we
did a couple of workshops. Ken is into
the technicalities because he has been a
cinematographer before.ā She says all
the ļ¬ve girls in Calendar Girls bonded
like a house on ļ¬re and had a blast.
āWe had this great camaraderie going on
ā everyone believes that when you put
ļ¬ve girls in a group they will have
catļ¬ghts and tear each otherās hair. But it
is not like that! Weāve become good
friends.ā She insists she has a lot of
respect for co-stars Indraneil Sengupta
and Rohit Roy.
84. āIndraneil has been a senior actor in Bengal. Iāve seen him in Srijit
Mukherjiās Autograph. I loved his work. Heās a supportive co-star. We
shared a great chemistry. Also, despite being such a big star in Bengal, heās
so humble.ā She reveals that Rohit Roy is playing a photographer
inspired by real-life ace lens-man Atul Kasbekar in this ļ¬lm.ā Few
know that she has done the hit item number Boochade boochade in the
2014 Telugu blockbuster Race Gurram. āIn the South, they consider danc-
ing as the ultimate thing! Itās hard work. You need to rub a pain relief balm
after each shot,ā she laughs. āThe hero Allu Arjun would ask me to sing it. I
was quite embarrassed!ā She says that she doesnāt mind doing regional
movies. āI follow my heart. Iād love to do anything that I feel connected
with.ā

JANET JACKSON
UNDERGOING
TESTS FOR
THROAT CANCER
Entertainment
Janet Jackson, the baby sister of King of Pop
Michael Jackson, is reportedly undergoing
tests for throat cancer according to several
news outlets. Jackson abruptly cancelled an
upcoming tour that was set to begin its
second leg January 9. Many speculated that
Janetās cancellation was due to poor ticket
sales. However, Yahoo News reports that
doctors have claimed to have found a tumor
on Miss Jacksonās vocal chords, prompting
many to be concerned not only for Janetās
health, but future ability to sing.
This was the second postponement of
Janetās tour. In October, Rolling Stone Maga-
zine announced that Jackson was reschedul-
ing dates after physicians told the singer she
need to rest her vocal chords.
Jacksonās latest album hadnāt been perform-
ing to expectations, but fans were ļ¬ocking to
the live shows, especially considering that
Janet hadnāt toured since 2011. According to
Forbes, resale values of tickets to Jacksonās
Unbreakable World Tour had neared to an
average of close to $200 in the pre-sale
stage, showing Miss Jackson still had the star
power to command an audience.
If Janet Jacksonās suspected throat tumor is
found to be cancerous, most likely Jackson
will be facing possible radiation and chemo-
therapy treatments, which would not only
set the singerās recovery and return to stage
back even further but possibly jeopardize
her life. Survival rates for throat cancer vary
depending on the stage of the disease with a
ļ¬ve-year survival rate of 90 to 44 percent,
depending on early detection, according to
the American Cancer Society.
For now, Janet Jackson fans will have to wait
until the reclusive singer reveals more
details of her plight and hold out the hope
that the singerāwhose her ļ¬rst nameās not
ābaby,ā itās āJanetā Miss Jackson if youāre
nastyācan make a full recovery.

Interiors
Ever wanted to live in the Middle-earth? A company called Green
Magic Homes came up with an idea to build tiny prefabricated
houses that look exactly like Hobbit holes and can be assembled by 3
people in a few days time! Just like Hobbit holes, these houses are
designed to exist under a layer of soil and turf and can even produce
food if you decided to grow some veggies on the roof. If you are not
a fan of greens, they can even be covered with sand or snow,
depending on where you live. If you have a vision of your own, this
company can make it happen as their modular system oļ¬ers endless
possibilities of design. Cozy, eco-friendly houses that neatly blend in
with nature, I mean you donāt even need to be a Tolkien fan to appre-
ciate the idea!
