Pink for girls, Blue for boys is a typical gender discrimination rule when it comes to clothes or color of things.No pinks for a boy because he’s not a girl ! No blues for a girl because that’s a boy color!We love to standardize everything and have unrealistic ideas about how a girl or a boy should be dress, act and behave.Ppl especially men often think that women are just for cooking, cleaning and staying in the house 24/7. It angers me that up until now a lot of men still think these way. Women want to have a career and yes we like to bring money home for our families too.We don’t live in the olden days where women’s life purpose is to get married and have babies.Women should not be tied up w household chores bcs there are many other things that women could do
According to research, the percentage of female students in universities is 60%. However, there is only 40% of male students. As we can see in our classroom right now, the number of male students is obviously less than female. This phenomena is not just happening in UiTM but also in other local universities and even in other countries. What is happening? Where are the boys? The ministry of education is trying to find the best solution to overcome this problem.
We knew that girls often score better than boys. But the question are why and how? Behavioral factor. Boys tend to have a higher behavioural problems than girls. Girls tend to spend more time doing homework and do revision than boys. Girls tend to have better time management than boys. They know how to manage their time effectively while boys tend to set games as priority. Boys often mature slowly than girls. They don’t know how to motivate themselves. At the end of the day they choose to give upp on their studies but girls are otherwise.
Education is an important part in society. Brigham Young, an American leader said that if you educate a man, you educate a man only, but if you educate a woman, you educate a generation. This highlight the importance of female education. Hence, if mothers are well educated, they can play their important role in shaping their sons and daughters. Education is also important for self-grooming of a woman which boost confidence. We can differentiate between an educated and uneducated woman. The way of talking, thinking and handling things are differ. An educated mother will ensure that her children are educated as well. No matter what she faces in life, she will always find a way to bring smile to her family and those around her.Educating women is an important step in overcoming poverty. Education is the powerful tool in making a change in the lives of women.Unfortunately, there are many other women who are not as lucky as we are today.I will let my partner to further explain about it.
